Default My z28 just went on it 1st big trip! MPG was good

The Z's 1st big tip and it did great! Just did the math and i got a average of 27.8 mpg going 70-80mph on a 940 mile trip from pensacola florida from missouri! I only got 25mpg on the trip down but i did 90-110mph the hole way down to florida only saw 1 cop! The 98 4x4 f150 we just bought only got 18.7 mpg but its a 4x4 truck with a 5.4. So i love my m6 with full bolton's and a TSP 231/237 cam. Im still on stock 3.42 gears and i even got on it a few times

I would get 27 on average with 3.42's. I still get 25 on average with 4.11's cruising 80 mph on the highway.

I just did 1800 miles from CT to Dallas TX and averaged 29 over the whole trip driving between 75 and 80 most of the way. Gotta love the M6 gas mileage

Why did I buy a Blazer with no power? I get 14.8 driving 85 and some in town driving. I should have bought a V8 pickup instead. Or just make more money and get a ls1.

I'm not buying you got 30 MPG with your RPM's almost at 2500. M6 guys at those speeds are about 800 RPM's lower.

I did it once or twice. Usually I can't get accurate hwy mpg because i'm never on the highway long enough.

The Trans Am will keep the same mileage once it locks up. If you want to see how much the converter affects your mileage, drive at speeds where the converter doesn't lockup (city driving).
