What's better, CAI or Programmer?
My friend just got an 2002 Corvette. He was wondering what would be a better and more noticeable performance boost. A CAI? Or a programmer such as the Diablosport Predator?? Can you help him decide ASAP? Thanks everyone.

Edit: The car is bone stock as of right now with 25XXX mi.

diablo is trash.
get the CAI. you won't realistically need a tune until AT LEAST after LTs and maybe a stall.
And then get a reail mail-order tune. A reflashing of the computer....not just the Diablo

nonsence get the programmer but make sure you read the directions good or you can screw things up, after i got my programmer i noticed a very big difference in my power and such, i dont have headers yet but will be getting them soon so i cant wait to see the bigger difference then and when i get a cam.... good luck.....
Get a CraneCams Programmer thats what mine is, about 425

You will see a much better performance gain from an actual tune vs. a hand held tuner. I say tell your friend to get the CAI for now, then a few more bolt-ons before spending money on having a street or dyno tune. JMO

yeah see i probably noticed the big difference because i have alot of little bolt ons so its pushing them, and the main BIG difference i noticed mostly was the transmission shifting and torque converter being locked up at all times

Here's what I suggest:
1. CAI
2. LT headers
3. GMMG exhaust
4. HPTuners/EFI Live tune

for tuning don't waste your time with a handheld, find a local tuner (if you can) and go to them initially for a base dyno tuning (to find out where your car is at and what can be done on the stock tune to up your potential). Then just stick to that tuner for anything you need and they will (in most cases) save your car's files and from then on charge you less for tuning.
Seriously the potential of the handheld tuner is not worth it. Handheld tuners are AMAZING for diesels (and bad for their transmissions) but for most applications they are not worth it. Do it right, man up and get a real tune.
Also a handheld tuner won't help you If/When you get a cam/heads/LT's/ etc. Handhelds are even less worthwhile for an M6 car, as then you lose the value of changing shifts.
