f-body your first car?
anybody here like me bought a f-body for first car? i bought mine from my dad(about 4 months ago) and i'm going to own it till the wheels fall off. probably not the smartest car to buy for my first . but i couldn't resist the temptation

ive had an fbody... specifically a camaro... for my second, third, fourth, sixth, and eighth cars and i cant really see myself in anything else... but i dont think this has anything to do with the 5th generation camaro, but oh well!

my first car (and stil one fo my loves ) was a 1969 Impala given to me by my great grandmother (I'm 22 years old so I'm not an old guy) . When i came to college and got a job durign school I didnt want to bring my impala for fear of it getting stolen (plus gas was rediculous).
I bought a 1998 Trans Am with less than 100k miles for 7000 and havent looked back. I wrecked her last year and bought a 99 with less than 60k miles and a 6 speed. Im graduating in May and will wither buy a new camaro/g8/corvette depending on my finances.
So yes the first car and the second car I ever BOUGHT were fbodies.

First car I bought was a 99' V6 Firebird when I was a freshman. Sold that before I was out of highschool and ended up getting a 02 Trans Am now that im in college. Only two cars ive bought so far and I hope it stays that way unless we get a 5th gen Trans Am that looks awesome. (unlikely) I'm so used to the feel of Fbodies that its strange to sit in a fourdoor car, seats feel like wooden chairs. Fbodies also play that oh so favorite tune when you temporarily get a lead foot.

My first car was a 95 z28 6sp; which I still have today. I bought the car when I was 17 with the money I saved working as an electrician with my uncle starting at age 15. I loved the car and still do.

My first car was my 81 Camaro. I got it for $800, the body was in bad shape (I bought it with the passenger side crushed in). But it have a big old 350 in her. After that I had my truck for a bit. I couldn't live without another F-Body. I sold it and got my 95 Z. After having that for about a year and a half, I desided it was time for a nice little b-day present. Thats when I got my 99 SS. I will always have at LEAST one F-Body in my garage. I'm hoping I will have a good enough job to get one of the 5th gens.

brought an '88 iroc-z camaro for my first car when I was 16. It's a great car that I still own today, but I finaly accepted the fact that its slow. So in may of 06 a month before my graduation I got my ws6 as a graduation gift to me from me (mommy and daddy didnt buy it for me as most think). So the only car's I have ever owned have been f-bodys, now my brothers looking at an lt1 for his first car.

Ive owned 4 cars in the time Ive been on this planet. My first was an 87 Firebird, it was a carb'd 305. Very slow! My second was a 2000 Z28. My third was a 2001 Z28. Also I have a cavalier for my winter car. I still have the 87. Im planning on putting a BBC in it in the next couple years.

My first car I drove when i was 16 was a 97 eclipse GS. It was a car my grandma leased. While I was fixing my real car that was mine my 79 T/A. I did alot of NEWBIE mistakes on that car that I am kicking my self in the *** for now. I have owned/sold many F-bodies. saying I would not drive anything else. That phase has passed and now 25 I want a Truck to trailer the bird, but I still want more F-bodies in my collection

My first F-body was actually my 5th car overall. It was an '89 Formula 350 hardtop.

My first car was a 73 Camaro. I got it from my uncle when I was 12. It needed total restoration and my original intention was to have it done when I turned 16. Its now 12 years later and I have done about 90% of the restoration. I have owned several cars since I got the 73 but none compare except my current 02 SS.
