First mod in and I'm happy
Installed the SLP lid and didn't figure I would notice much difference, but it does feel a bit stronger up top. Then I was really excited when I went on a top speed run and hit the top speed limiter (160-162mph) in 1.6 miles....about 0.5 miles quicker than I had previously. Part of that could of been because of cold May air, but I'm still pretty impressed with what the SLP lid did for me.

It has begun...Now its time for new forged short block, heads, cam, TT setup, full exhaust....
Good job man! Glad you are happy with the first mod! The SLP lids for the most part are pretty good and fit nicely.

you know alot of people say that the LS6 intake is pretty close in performance and its way way less
it was the most noticeable mod i've done to date
now i'm ready for headers and ORY to wake all my mods up
as far as the FRA someone said they did 4 cutouts instead of 2 i'm thinking of doing the same maybe get alittle more from it
unless I get a ram air hood then i'd have to block it all back off

I'm getting a FAST 90/90 cuz I plan on going 383 with a 4" stroke later on. The 90mm FAST may not be that much better to warrant the extra money on a 346, but when I make it a 383 it will definitely be worth it.

I forgot to mention Jet-Hot headers are this summer's plan, hopefully next month. And I'm gonna get an F7 224/230 cam, but I'm not sure if I want to wait until I get FAST 90/90 before installing the cam....I only want to tune it once.

oh, and I'm still debating whether I should get a Magnaflow catback or just get a cutout for the POS flowmaster that came with the car. A couple weeks ago my exhaust unhooked behind the Y-Pipe and I got to drive around town with essentially open headers . It was pretty fun but I was getting a little tired of it coming on the end, which I guess would kinda be the advantage of a cutout, you can just cap it.

yea.. you wouldn't be needing a tune as badly if you just switched intakes opposed to cams... when i get paid for this month my LTs and TDs are coming.. i've been waiting for several months but stuff kept coming up, i got the $$ for the Lts..now im just waiting on the other 400 for the duals.. cant wait.
