I came across a dealer that has a 2002 Sunset Orange WS6 Six Speed with only 2,000 MILES!!! Carfax Clean and its a one owner vehicle...They are asking $26,995....That seems like a good price right?

Thats still a bit high though, try to talk the dealer down a little. If you could get it for say $24, or even $24.5 it would be a really good deal. Remember though always talk him down, and do it fast because chances are that car wont last. Seen a sunset orange 01 6-speed ws6 for sale over at Joe Rizza dealership with 30k miles and they wanted $20k for it and guess what the car sold a week later.

Rare find. I'd buy it if I were you!
Look for damaged front fender tabs, paint overspray, tire nubbies, little things here & there that prove it to be taken care of.
Post the VIN, maybe someone can give you the GM service record?

I would say that is a pretty good deal try to talk them down a little bit, but with only 2k miles that is a very rare find. I saw one on Autotrader with 5k and the dealership was asking like 36k which is completely outrageous!

Id say jump on it, if it was me I would!

yea my advice would be try to take him down a grand or 2 if he doesn't budge buy it anyways thats still a good price for that kind of car..

I agree with everyone. Try to get them down but don't pass it up either. This is like turning back the calendar to 2002. The opportunity to buy this rare color in a basically new car may not happen again. It is worth a premium over anything in any pricing books. I'm surprised the seller isn't asking more. This is a unique buying/selling situation. Good luck!

its a odd situation with this car. Of course you want to talk him down but most any of us here would probably buy it for that price wether we wanted to or not. Just bit your lip and dont say i'll take it untill you are walkin off the lot and he comes down to about 23 or 24. oh and another little hint, when buyin used always make it seem like you are going to finance the car through them, that way they think they are gettin more of your money and they will come down more.

I disagree. On used cars, all the dealers that I know of will set you up with financing, but it's not them that your paying back, it's whoever they arrange financing with. It's no more money in their pocket at all. It actually takes more of their time to make this arrangement.

What DOES work, is when you say your paying with cash, or bringing a cashiers check from your bank etc, where it's a smooth, simple transaction.

Sounds like a sweet car.

99% of banks or credit unions are not going to lend more than what it books for. Most likely it's a dealership lot which is in the business to sell normal used cars with the retail value as the guidline for what they'd like to get for it margined with what they have in it. Volume sales in other words. Unless it's a lot that specializes in collector or niche vehicles, the're not gonna expect to get more than what it'll book for because that's what can be loaned on it.
I'd add that to the list of haggling ammo.
