Prices Prices
are stock cars more desireable?
how are prices in relations to KBB private party sales? do people buy them lower or higher than what KBB says.
throw out extremes such as people asking way too much or in financial binds.
i'm in the East Coast and it seems that LS1 Fbodies command a higher price than say, when i was in Northern Cali.

i dont think KBB adds in the fact that these cars are well loved in the Muscle Car world. So the price is usually higher than what they say. However someone will always try to rip you off and sell you one for more than its worth. And yes, i would definitely buy a stock one over a modified one any day.

stock cars hold their value better and have a better chance of not being molested. if a car has mods think about it, someone was racing it or making it do more than normal.
everything here ni fayettenam is about 5-6k higher than everywhere else. I found a 98 base model z28 last year with 105k miles for 10,000 and that was the cheapest thing within 200 miles

Stock higher
It is pretty simple overall. No one is afraid to buy a stock car but many are afraid to buy modded cars for all the reasons already stated. Throw out pricing books when you find low mileage 'showroom' examples. Someone posted recently about a 2,000 mile 2002 SOM WS6 that was for sale for $26,000+ and it sold pretty quick. It is true for most sports cars, not just F-body cars. Stock, low mileage muscle sells for big bucks!
