Horsepowertv today...WTF? so they took a ls2 crate motor and did cam/head swap today and they also put a distributor conversion on the car? I'm all about old school but wh would you do that? especialy since the timing computer can build a custom timing curve? thats all i have...

I stopped watching that show so long ago, its all about sponsored parts and brand labeling, not actual performance. Those parts were probably just given to them to use for free if they advertised them, they never go with the best parts, only what they get from their sponsors.

Yeah I saw that too, seemed kind of pointless. I don't really watch the show since the big chevy guy left. All their new projects seem to suck, and the two hosts are annoying as hell. I wish spike would have left "power block" alone, instead of making it better they made it suck worse. Seriously how many of us want to know how to build a rat rod out of street signs or a dirt track car?

They took an LS2, threw in a hot cam, untouched L92 heads with ls6 springs (nice compression loss), and a holley carb that probably performs worse than the demon it replaced. Oh and dont forget the carb spacer they put on upside down, and the swap to a distributor which sucks compared to the coil on plug. But I guess it gained a hundred horses in horsepower tv land.

i was watching ,uscle car and i saw the "lsgun" sitting in their garage. i disagree with the show too but i still try to watch it, they seriously don;t know what their doing, anyone remember the "lsgun" project? I also saw pipes the other day and i just laughed when they said the civic blew up its stock bottom end motor after they put on a turbo kit and shot of juice... suprise!!!

Ya, I stopped watching powerblock altogether after courntey hanson did that section over donks, boxes and bubbles

Seriously, i was watching and dude was at a tractor junkyard finding a radiator grill and hood....like man, i dont care about a damn tractor/car!

That show was awesome when he was the host.....those two tools that do it now suck ***. One looks like he's been doing 'roids and his sidekick has a little sugar in his gas tank if you know what I mean

ESPN 2 has got a show with the old host of trucks too,
I saw the episode where the honda blew the motor as well, wonder why the "turbo expert" the honda guys used didn't realize you can't have a turbo/nitrous setup with a stock block.
What was even funnier was how the mustang ran slower after all that work than before they hooked it up, poor mustang guys. Next week they are going to have the ls1 camaro go against a mustang, anyone wanna bet who's gonna win?????
