Just look around... The cheapest way would be to drive it there and fly back.

Well he should pay to have it shipped and there are soo many choices of shipping it. See what he wants to do about it and you guys should work out a deal.

$1300 sounds about right. Is it covered transport or open transport?? Look in Hemmings for quality transporters. You definitely get what you pay for. Many companies promise you the world for cheap prices but you will wait and wait and get lied to. Been there, done that numerous times with car collector friends. I won't recommend any particular company on the thread just in case it has changed hands or something goes bad for you. Good luck with your decision!

If your sending it Fed Ex EXPRESS, than that price sounds Fair, Express is usually 1-2 day shipping. And i Believe they send it through Aircraft.

I used Reliable from Phoenix to Detroit for about $1,000 with an enclosed carrier. I shipped from terminal to terminal it would have been about $200 more going door to door.

I used Dependable Auto Shippers when I sold my car. It was like $1000 door to door. The guy who bought my car said it would have cost like $850, but for that I would have to drive it 40 miles north and drop it off near Detroit, so he sprung, on his own bill I might add, the option for them to pick it up at my door. It left on a open car carrier up towards Detroit, then got on another trailer out to Reno, NV. About 12 days to go 2000 miles. They made it sound like they waited basically until the truck was full of cars before it left the yard. Like they wouldn't start to drive to the West Coast with just one car on the truck. But they had great service. Buyer was pleased with time and care of the car.
