Default Should I trade?

Ok so my buddy asked me if I wanted to trade my 01 NBM Trans AM WS6 M6 with 37000 miles....that is pretty much stock....for his 1996 corvette M6 LT4 with 27000 miles with a bored and stroked LT4 to a 383 with forged internals, cam, ported and polished LT4 heads, long tubes, full 3" exhaust, that runs mid 10's on the bottle. The vette is pretty sweet and..by the way it is yellow. It also has all of the stock equipment on it...A/C even blows cold. Should i do it? He wants to get rid of the car and thinks that he could sell my TA easier for around the same $$ the vette would bring in.

hummm wow well that sounds like a heck of of deal, but unless you trust the guy and know how well he worked on the internals go for it if you like it! but my personal praferance i would never trade for an older corvette becase 1. its pretty kool to have 4 seats in the car not like the corvette. 2. lt1 block!! its a bit of a downgrade but that is a completly different engine and is capable of making alot more power at a cheaper price. 3. u have a nice *** trans am what more do u want man and with ONLY 37,000 MILES WOW that is ausome, keep the trans am!!! but that is my opinion so goodluck choosing

I was never a huge fan of the C4 myself, but this car is pretty ****. I dunno I have been getting tired of my TA lately. I can't decide.

I used to hate C4's but to tell you the truth, I've seen a couple clean ones that didn't look half bad, now their ok. I still say keep your TA though.

Keep the T/A. It may not be as fast as the vette right now. But Honestly i say the T/A has more potential than the vette. So I say T/A. P.S NBM WS6's look ****** sick!

You better do your homework on that modded Corvette before any trading. You could be getting into a real money pit despite the low miles. If he is racing constantly with that car, NO THANK YOU!!! Nothing can take abuse, no matter what it looks like.

imo, too many potential problems with a modded car, especially the LTx motors.

There is a reason you could sell the Trans Am faster than the Corvette. Dont do it.

Hard to believe that mileage on an almost 12 year old 'vette w/ that much work into it. You sure he isn't pulling your chain? Either way I'd probably take the LT4 because of personal reasons but I would imagine the average reasonable person would keep the 'bird.

Plus with that many miles and that displacement I would guess it is only stroked and not bored. If it was bored he probably had to and it has WAY more miles or an extreme beating that he isn't telling you.

Sounds fishy to me.
