Default Rear end

I am buying a new rear end for my 2002 ss. I decided to go with strange instead of moser bc i was told that strange had a lil bit of a stronger product. Im not sure if i wanna go with the strange 12 bolt (its what i am leaning towards) or the dana 60. If you need any other info and ill give it to you. BUt which one do yall perfer?

Ummm... I would still recommend the Moser 9" over anything due to the TQ arm mount. There are other preferences, but with the strange 60 you will need a new driveshaft, and the 12-bolt's regardless of the manufactuer are said to whine after a few hard launches and the TQ arm bolts come notoriously loose after a while.

Talk to Bob at exoticperformanceplus or Scott at DLS, they are both sponsors here.

if you look at the section titled "gears and axles" under the heading "chassis, suspension, appearance" there are a couple of faqs and countless topics that cover this topic.

Moser is a Ford 9". They modify the rear and provide the proper axle length and TQ Arm bracket for our cars.

Trust me I just went through this whole process. Like mentioned before reference the gears and axles section.

12-bolts are fine. I've had my Moser 12-bolt for about 6 years now and had zero problems.
My buddy Powell went 8.8's on his and still is fine. The 12-bolt ring gear is 8.75" and the 9" is well......9". So we're talking only an 1/8" on either side for a total of only 1/4" bigger.
The tq arm bolts just need a little locktite and keep an eye on them after the 1st install.

Peace,
Craig.
