One of my low-beam headlights went out tonight
It'll be the first thing I replace on my new '98 Trans Am! It wasn't too hard on the '95 Z. I didn't really look at it, but is there anything extra I have to take off?

You'll need a phillips head screw driver and a T15 torx driver.
* Remove the plastic headlight shroud (3 screws: left, top-middle, right)
* Remove half-way the top 2 torx screws on the broken light's metal retainer (the screws are about 1in long)
* Remove the bottom 2 torx screws
* Tilt out the metal bulb retainer. (The bulb will fall out with out the retainer, so you might want to support it before removing the retainer)
* Remove & Disconnect bulb
* Re-installation is the reverse procedure

What He said.^^^^
I've changed them a bunch of times. Takes about 5 min once you got the system down. Also I'm assuming you know you have turn them on to change it. If you turn them on and turn it back to parking lights, the lights stay up but aren't on.

Turn the **** back to the parking lights position. Off, Parking Lights, Headlights. You have to turn the switch to the Headlights position to get them to flip up, but if you don't want them on while you are working you can turn the switch to the Parking Lights position and they'll stay flipped up but the headlights will turn off.

Uh, yeah, I was just joking because there is no way to shut them off (not "defeat" them), like, with a factory control or whatever. Which is ******* retarded and unsafe.
Wasn't meant to be hillarious, just a joke on the fact that they don't turn off.
Another thing I find small humor in is the super-secret flip out cup holder. Didn't know about it for months.

I have full control over when my headlights are on or off.
To turn on my headlights, I rotate the **** to the "ON" position.
To turn off my headlights, I rotate the **** to the "OFF" position.
There is nothing automatic there.
Are you talking about a Camaro? If so, you can easily disable the system and regain full control of your headlights (just splice together the two wires going to the light sensor)... but I said that already and you dismissed it. So I have no clue what you are talking about.
What is "unsafe" about auto-lights?
