Default switched back to paper

i looked at my k&n the other day and was discusted on how dirty it was.
i droped it on the ground and pices of dirty and oil fell out, looked like rat poop.

i blew some air through it and could not feel it on the other side. put a paper filter in and car runs better. chirps going in to second now. that filter was so clogged it i guess it was hindering performance. i am going to stick with paper cause its too much work to be cleaning my k&n every month or two. it gets pretty dusty here.

also my lid fits a lot better with the paper filter.

just thought i would share that.

I would go paper but I have a Moroso cold air intake that takes a cone filter, I don't know if there is such a thing as a paper filter that would fit.

I've had nothing but Purolator paper filters on my car since I've had it, never bought into K&N because of the MAF issues. It's too easy just to buy a new paper one for almost nothing and switch out then to bother with cleaning a K&N every month.

Check out S&B filters! My buddy has two on his big twin supra and another on his SC Viper... IIRC they are easily less than K&N but perform pretty damn well.
