The flip out one holds the drinks, Sobe or Arizona. If you put a soda in there it gets all shaken up and then tastes like crap!! The one in the console was used to put a small air freshener in it. Now I just put it in the rear ones, which are all that they can be used for. I put my phone in the little compartment infront of the ash-tray. The ashtray is used for change. It's easier to take out and plus I don't smoke so I have no use for it.

You want to talk about useless ******* drink holders. My wife drives a 2000 cougar. The ******* thing pops up from the center console and fold over to hold the drink. If you have more than a half a can of soda in there it ****** tips over and spills the drink on you when you make right turns because of the shitty folding piece of **** crap design. Then you have to punch the ****** back into the console to close it after it spills **** all over the car. How the **** does **** like this make it into production?

Hmm I feel cheated out of a cup holder now. Useless one like everyone else holds my phone, cubby hole under console holds about 5 cds, that when under WOT from a stop end up in passengers laps. Ash tray holds change, soon to be replaced with a nitrous outlet switch panel.

yea there aint nothin like having a mcdonalds cup of coke in the cup holder and then going to race somebody and putting you arm right thru the cup hitting 2nd gear

umm... i usually dont put nothing in that cupholder unless there is a passenger in the car other wise i put my phone in the center console one.

I find the center one on the console useless for drinks... that's just because i drive stick.

I have the M6 so I use the flip out holer for my drinks. The one on the console fits my MP3 player perfectly. I have a Rio Carbon and the headphones port comes out the top. I have a FM transmitter I plug into it. The player lays down flat with the plug for the transmitter going into the cup handle opening. Perfect!

Hahaha... I thought I was the only one who uses the center console cup holder to hold my cell phone. I hate using the cup holder in the center console for anything else because it just gets in the way (I'm an M6). The flipout cup holder is only used when I have a closed container drink.
