What is a clean SS worth?
I have had 2 ls1's. I sold my SS about a year and half ago and it was a 2000 clean bolt on car that never seen rain with 10,000 for 18500. Im lookin into buying another one here this summer. I was wanting to know what price range i can get a clean SS for? Maybe around 30,000 miles. Maybe one that has a cam and heads car or something like that.

I paid 19.5k for mine. Got it in September with 10,000 miles on it. Probably over paid a little but it was exactly what I was looking for and it was at a Chevy Dealer in my hometown. I would think you could find one for around 15-18k like mentioned above. Good luck in your search.

i bought my SS from a friend for 14k.
99 NBM, 57k miles, leather, 12 disc, new speakers, V1 radar detector , 6 speed with Spec clutch, pacesetter headers, tsp ory, mti lid, 42# injectors, 12 bolt, bmr tq arm, 15x8 prostars, stock silver ZR1s and a new set of chrome Zr1 with 315s out back, and a n2o kit makes like 350 or 360 on motor and 460 on a 100 shot
i didnt really want to spend that much...but i know where the car has been and who did the work..so i paid a little more for it. from a different seller, i wouldnt have paid more than 11-12k. the prices of our cars is constantly going down....

Condition, miles, location, time of year purchased and modifications all factor in to the price. Also it largely depends on whether you purchase the car from a private seller or a dealer.
I spent 15 months looking for my '99 Z28 and came across quite a few SS Camaros and WS6 Trans Ams. F-bodies with those designations always seemed to go for around $1500-$3000 more (used from private sellers) than the same mileage base F-Body (i.e., Z28 or Formula).
Another large factor that comes into play is how well you can "bargain" with sellers. If the seller is in a position where he/she needs to sell the vehicle, then you are more likely to be able to talk him/her down on the price. In my case, I found a woman in her mid-20's that was getting married. I was able to talk her down considerably from her asking price due to the fact that her wedding was in a few weeks from when my father and I took the car for a test drive.
It also depends on how far you are willing to travel. I almost was ready to fly/drive to Michigan from New York in order to purchase a Camaro Z28 from a dealer for $14,400. I ended up finding the same year, make, model, color, transmission and options locally (from a private seller) for around $10,000. Albeit the car I bought had 48k instead of 14k. Comparing the pictures that I saw of the car in Michigan, my Camaro was in better condition even though it had more mileage.
Hope this helps. If you have any more questions feel free to ask. Good luck with your search.
