I was at the auto auction today and there was a red 1999 z28 nice set of wheels true dual exhaust, patriot heads big cam,6sp car with full bolt ons,90/90 with a nice *** nitrous kit.only problem was it had a salvage title..sold for $5900..man i should have picked it up and parted it out..![Barf](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_barf.gif)

While I would never buy anything with a salvage title I can say that I have seen vehicles with salvage titles that were very nice and the owners had zero issues with them. To me the main problem with a salvage title is the uncertainty of what has been fixed exactly, quality of the work performed, lack of banks that finance salvage titles and the ability to re-sell the car is lowered dramatically when a potential buyer sees salvage on the title.

^ +1. I can see doing it MAYBE if you know the person who did the work, history of their work, etc etc. Personally whenever I find out a car is salvaged I do a 180 and keep looking. Resale most definitely will not be easy either. I'm not saying all are the same deal but it just seems like a headache waiting to happen.
