my brothers 02 M6 CE TA felt faster stock than mine did. His was the fastest car I had been in at the time and the first time I felt the tq of that LS1 i grabbed on to the door handle scared shitless.
My 01 felt slow, same car basically. No diffeence in the 01-02. Mines a 6speed also. Maybe I was just use to his bolt on LS1 so mine felt different. I also thought mine may have not been as loose with only 12,000 miles on it.
But now with the Lt's, 4.10's she runs great. I'm already use to it. Till I take it out of storage for the first time and an amazed as to how fast it is. Cam is next

I DD a 1990 Civic htach DX, 1.5Land it leaks alot of oil....maybe 87WHP. Then there is my 2000 t/a, now it is stock but still. The power delivery on the t/a is alot smoother then the cvic, but the civic "feels" quicker, i guess casue of when you shift the car is light enough that it throws it back....
And yes right about a month later the t/a felt lacking......lid,Lt's,ory and tsp cat-back sitting next to me...

I guess my car is quicker than it feels. Before my 2000 A4 car, I had a 89 Mustang GT, 5 speed car with some bolt ons, it went like 13.70s, but it felt pretty quick at the track, first time with the A4 LS1 at the track, I ran it, and thought it had to had been like a 14.50 pass, it felt so slow, but i grabbed my slip and it was 13.28 @ 107. I was shocked as hell. It was just so smooth and easy driving down the track. I have alot of people tell me its fast when I race them and whatnot, but It doesnt really feel fast to me though.

i duno bout u guys, but yea a i can see why a mustang with bolt ons and tires etc will "feel" quicker since they jump pretty nicely but they have no top end whatsoever like a LS1... NOW how in the world a civic feels at all faster, quicker, or in the slightest bit better, have no ****** clue. You must really like hondas to be biased like that, thats like driving a LS1 Firebird/camaro and then jumping into a brand new bolt on LS7 Z06 and saying the fbody felt quicker/faster? You on crack foo'

An A4 2.73 geared F-body is going to feel slow. When I bought my C5 I went and looked at stock cars and drove a stock 2.73 A4 C5, and damn that car felt so sluggish. I was so dissapointed it felt strong from a low roll but flooring it around 45 or 50 mph which my Cobra loved I thought damn why am I getting a Vette. But when my modded C5 came with no TM and a stall and alot more power it felt like a freaking beast! But now its feels slow again so its time to spray the 100 shot!

We drive our cars all of the time and are used to the power, its always fun to take someone for a drive thats never been in a quick car and watch there reaction when you nail it.

Honestly, try sitting in the passanger seat. A buddy of mine was looking into building the same motor set up I have so I told him he should take my car for a spin. I sat in the passanger seat and when he whacked it and I didnt know it was comming, I fell in love with my car again. When your driving, you know when the powers comming and react accordingly, when your a passanger, you have no idea.
You could also go get in a 2v GT. Buddy just got one, an 02, nice looking car, sounds mean. He was following me home and went WOT for a little flyby. I was watching him go and I couldnt help thinking "Man, I would defuckingstroy that car in a race"

I'd have to agree. My friends near bone stock 350z feels faster when I ride in it I think due in part to it being a manual. He runs the RPMs up through each gear. My A4 bogs going from 40 up to 70 on interstate ramps for example, but I think I'd beat him to it anyway

Having used to own an SRT-4 (very light turbo car 2800lbs) and stepping into a GTO almost 1K heavier the GTO felt really slow compared to the neon. Most of it was due to weigh because i know the goat was faster. My best in the neon was 13.3 and i managed a 12.9 out of the box in the goat. Nothing feels faster than a light weight turbo car just for the peakey power band, now the GTO feels more like that with a cam that pulls just as hard as the neon did. now im working on heads...lol its never fast enough i can tell you that....lol

I've had the SS for a few months now and I just have to say it: I was expecting more. It just doesnt feel that fast, I mean the car should at least run 12's but I thought that a 12 sec car would feel faster than it does. I guess its just time to get off my *** and put on the nitrous kit that has been sitting in my room for a few weeks.
Just a thought, not flaming you I am sure you are one of the safest and best drives on the board, but..
Since I sold those things, NEW, have a list of folks looking for those things, USED, I would like to know what made you think it was a 12 second car? Do you remember a magazine test showing 12's? Did the folks you run with tell you they ran 12's? Did you see 12's being run at your local track?
Sometimes Jake and I visit surrounding car lots just to experience the B/S some car guys tell folks that walk on a new or used car lot. Not that I know everything about the performance world and all cars performance. Did I miss the year of SS you have? Oh well, good luck have fun be safe. We you do take that beast to the track I wouldn't tell anyone you expect to run 12's out of box/
