That's pretty funny! Actually the engine they focused for a brief second in the movie on was a TPI motor. KITT didn't have that when the show came out in '82.

I noticed that as well... wouldnt they use the crossfire injection system?

i i believe they used the normal 305 in 81 . . . which explains why it needed all that stuff to go faster hahaha

i'm pissed that they didn't use a ta in the new knight rider but that does not look like a LSX manifold

What I find funny is you weren't even alive when the show started airing

I was 8 years old, and remember when the show started!

just watched it online, seems like its good enough to watch. i am easily entertained, but sucks its all fords, seems like gm should have just given them a concept or something anything really to put into it...
