How much for a 1999 z28?
I am looking at a 1999 z28. I have yet to go see it but have seen pictures. It is cloth interior, 6spd with 86k, clean title, exterior minor rock chipping, borla catback and K&N, rs body kit, UGLY 17" wheels with 275s. Just wondering what you guys think it would be worth, guy is asking $7200

Went and looked at it tonight, it looks nice a few small rock chips and a few small scratches. Nothing out of the ordinary for a 9yr old car. There is a small crack in the front driver side fender however. Looks like it might have bumped something and pushed the front bumper to hit it, no sign of damage to bumper clean title, guy side it was on there from when he bought it and the original owner said no accidents. Inside clean a few little dirty spots that would clean up really easy. Tires are needing replaced soon (and I dont like the 17" wheels he has on it so prob new wheels too). T-top car, traction control, and monsoon stereo
What do you guys think it would be worth? (thanks for the input so far btw)

Check Kelley Blue Book (www.kbb.com) or NADA for your area. Anywhere from $6000 to $7200 seems to be fair.

Do you guys think it would be worth it to get a car with that many miles (86k) or to spend a little more and get one with less miles?
There is also a 2002 z28 m6 55k for 10900, and a 1999 ss with 82k for $10,000

dude that is not a lot of miles. It has many good ones to go. I have over 155,000 on my 99 and it burns/leaks nothing! It still pulls 24mpg too. BUY IT! ...Also, mine had ugly *** rims on it when I bought it. I bought 4 rims with good tires for $125 off craigslist. So don't let that scare you.

Alright I will deff take this into consideration. I am kind of leaning towards this way because it is quite a bit cheaper then any others around here, it is a clean car, and then I can pick the wheels anyways. It would have been nice if it had wheels already that I liked but I can keep looking. I wasnt sure about the amount of miles, I know 86k isnt super high but not exactly sure how long they lasted. Plus just thinking about other things like clutch and other parts that might start needing replaced. The guy thought it was factory clutch still. Possibly needing brake job soon, the wheels and tires (at least tires cause they are getting bad), so i just not sure if it would be worth it with needing that stuff. However it is about $2000 cheaper then most others around me that are compairable. He said if I was wanting to get it soon he could put the next month payment and insurance towards pay off to lower price some also.

I would take it, Ive had 3 LS1's one with 87k, one with 45k, and one with 130k and the 130 K one ran better then the other 2, its all in how it was takin care of. And thats a good price IMO. As long as there is nothing major wrong I would go for it, If you dont like the wheels or other MINOR things, that is what modding is for and like someone already said you can pick up parts for these cars CHEAP

I agree at $6k. If you say the wheels are bad take into consideration you're going to have to change them... If he won't go for $6k, walk away. And it better be CLEAN as well regarding that price.

6K or walk. These cars are CHEAP because of gas prices

Still thinking about it and have been looking at others. Today went and saw a 1999 ss m6 with headers and exhuast, but it was not in good shape, scratches, dents, interior stained and ripped seats, deff not worth the $10k he was asking for it.
Still really thinking about that 1999 z28, the problem with offering him less is he owes money still, he said he can help pay a little on it but he owes $7200. But the more cars i look at the nicer this one looks. I just dont know if I would rather spend a little more and get a car with less miles and/or newer car.
I am prob going to go look at an 02 z28 with 54k miles tomorrow. It is all stock m6 cloth interior, black car with the silver painted snowflake wheels. It might have a hurst shifter in it though cause it has a hurst ****, but could very easily be just a ****. They are asking $10900 for it, but they said they would be willing to negotiate a little, it is at a dealership.
