Default carburated ls1

lets say i get this kit and put it in my 04 gto,

http://tomzwheels.com/catalog/produc...roducts_id/941

what does the computer do about not seeing a maf signal and injector signals?

will I throw codes and not pass emissions for OBDII?

will my computer be completely useless?

how does the computer handle not seeing the input signals?

suck my dinner and smoke a blueberry? lol. why would you want to carb your ls1 anyway? id think youd get worse gas mileage. any performance gains out of it?

i've seen the carb conversion produce a few horses over stock(might have just been the better flowing intake)...its easier to tune and work on thought for sure, the mpgs don't really drop any from what i've heard also

some gains yes very easy tunning and you can tune it for gas mileage as well. and looks nice with one of these stickin out the hood http://static.summitracing.com/globa...um-g3108-1.jpg
specially in my black 04 gto. and i've been working on hydrogen cars and it will be easy to run the lines and tune the car for using alternative fuels

the black camaro that won the LSx shoot out last year had that style manifold drilled for the fuel rail and a custom air intake to the 4 barrel flange. i forget the times but it was deep in the single digits.
did not see your mods in your sig

let me tell you about carburetors:

going carburated is like taking a step back.. i dont think its remotely possible for a carb to be as efficient as fuel injection when it comes to gas mileage at all. no matter how you look at it the 4 central cylinders are getting more fuel than the outside 4 due to the location of the carb... with fuel injection each cylinder gets the same amount of fuel, and air.. (unless of course it was a batch fired system but these are ls1's we are talking about.) stick with fuel injection.

i can't help but disagree, number 7 and 8 are notorious for blowing up bc they get less airflow bc of the shitty placement of the throttlebody

going for a direct port style injection for the hydrogen with a fuel cell.. and once im carburated it will be very easy to work on in my drive way.. no dyno queen for my car..
