Default ORY's and emissions?

OK i was thinking of getting the pacesetter LT headers and ORY package because its cheap, but what does everyone here do when (or if they have) emissions come up. Because it seems like a lot of people have ORY pipes on here, so what do ya do for emissions?

have it smogged under the table or put cats on for the smog test.

Technically you are not allowed to relocate your cats. If you put some high flows on there you should be ok. Depends on where you live though.

OBD scan only here in IL. We use O2 sims, or custom tuning. Passes without issues. We have no visual test, and no sniff test. So it's no problem here.

Really? So in all of Illinois you can pass emissions without cats on?

Same here in MD. We have the OBDII scan and a gas cap check. My car was loud as hell in the testing station, and smelled like strong exhaust from my ORY.

I still passed.

Actually, most of IL doesn't even have testing. It's only something like 9 counties total (3 down by St. Louis, and 6 up by Chicago). But in the counties that do have testing, all they do is plug into the PCM for about 20 seconds, check for codes and "ready" status of emissions systems, and you're done.

No cats required. But you'll either need custom tuning or O2 sims to get the PCM to show that everything is good once you pull the cats.

AZ just does a computer check. No visual inspection of the cats

Custom tuning. I believe here in NY they just plug it in and check for a check engine light and make sure that most of the car's systems show "ready."
