i got these clamps to help hold that corner down worked well, aslo one thing i need to go back and add in is i put the painter tape over the vice grip so it wouldnt scratch the light

AND WHAT WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!!!!!

I think it turned out well, you can see in person it doesnt shine quite as bright but close enough, also the light did get deformed just a bit but you wouldnt notice unless i told you, other than that im pleased with the way it turned out.

What do you guys think?

and i know i have a light out on my spoiler lol

wow. i've been trying to figure out why mine was darker. my car came with a crack in the tail light. i took it out and found holes in the bottom, couldn't figure out why it was darker though. this was extremely helpful.

How is the fitment? Is the deformation on the edge or in in the the reverse light?

Great job though, looks great. I'm doing mine this weekend.

I have the deformation but it is extremely minor no problems with the fit. it is on the the drivers side light, the far left edge

i take it your trying this out, and seems to be going good for you, as long as you clamp it down on both sides at the same time and let it completly dry it should hold together, i did have min come apart the first day i drove with it, i think it got hot and i didnt have enough silicone holding it so i had to put more on, but so far everything else seems to be working good.

hope your turns out as well as mine if not better.

its not factory fit but close and good enough. other than deformation, i think the reason for mine was becuz i was pulling pretty hard when it was still hot, just be sure to take you time pullin it apart and it should be fine, and becarefull to not break the plastic edge on the inside of the light or it will be hard to line up right when you put it back together.

hope it comes out good, and post some pics if you dont mine i would like to see hows yalls turns out

I have mine clamped together right now but I forgot to get pics of the process. I also broke the inside of the bottom lip since I didn't have it hot enough. I was working on it too long and the glue started to harden. We'll see how it turns out. I used Dupli-color Chrome paint for the inside finish and I think it turned out alright. I'll try and get pics of it when it's back on the car.

It turned out fair. It was still a little darker than the other one. So I just went ahead sprayed them both with vht nite shades. The reverse light is visually darker than the stock one, but when the light's on, they are of equal intensity.

Thanks. I only put two on. It looked pretty reflective after the first coat so I stopped at two.

Just for refernce, this is what it looked like before.
