How long to pull out motor?

Default How long to pull out motor?

Like the title says, how long most of you guys take to pull a motor out of an f-body?
Mine's getn some work done to her.

see the pdf. alldatas labor times are dealer times. your time won't be that fast.
i realize you may be looking for a time frame. but it's your car myself i want it done right regardless of the time.

It can take quite a while with out a lift or the right tools...usually home/garage jobs take about 3-5 hours longer if not more

Me and a friend of mine swapped mine this weekend. We dropped it out the bottom and it took around 4 hours to have it out. Everything comes apart pretty easy. The hardest part for us was fighting with my exhaust.

We did have a lift and air tools though so if you are doing it at home expect it to take longer.

never taken the ls1 out, but I took my lt1 out of the top in about 5 hours.

i did my LT1 once out the bottom and it took me prolly 8 hours to get it but i was working alone and didn't have a go-fer ... everyone should agree the first time will take a few hrs longer just because.

ill have a lift and air tools. Was just kinda wondering a time frame. Dealership here said 18.5 to pull and put in. I thought that was kinda long.

takes me about 2.5-3hrs out the bottom with lift and air tools

Are there any write ups for dropping out of the bottom? A search didn't bring up anything.
