Default The Lug from Hell!!!! And its a Stock one too!

So I bought a new shell for my Motor from the Camaro. I wanted a TA with the Ram Air Hood and I got one with the RK Sport Version of the hood for 1800 running and driving. Its an auto though so I basically just started swapping pieces over.

I was going to do the Front brakes and Rims when I ran into a problem... The car came with the stock rims and those little cover caps. They also came with factory locking lugs... and it seems they either rusted on or a monkey with an air gun put them on. The Key cracked the Locking Lug and I could not get it off... So I got the rest off and tried to JB Weld the Key in... it came out... may have tried too soon.

So I took it to my Tire Guy he went at it for 2-3 hours with an air Chisel after trying to get it off pounding sockets over etc (Oh and to mention, I had sprayed all the lugs with PB Blaster the night before while fighting with them). He has mutilated the lug and killed a lot of it but it was still there...

So I took it home and started drilling it... 5 drill bits later I have 3 holes almost all touching each other that go all the way down to the rim... and nothing I still can not get it to crack and come off.... WHAT THE F^^K!!!!

I am damaging the rim which is ok I can get another stock 5 star for my wife who wanted these for her Camaro... but I need to get this rim off so I can swap the spindles and brakes and PS Rack... and motor when I drop that this next week if not this weekend... but all I keep doing is fighting this damn thing.

I do not have anything but one off those small torches so that Idea is out... I have been hitting the damn rim with all the other lugs off with my sledge, my feet anything trying to make it break and nothing....

Somebody has got to have some ideas here.

Do you think you could get a picture of this predicament? Maybe we can answer it a little better if we can see for ourselves how to get in there and what damage is done.

Painful as it sounds, look up a nut splitter. They crack stubborn nuts in two.

If you don't mind parting with a socket, find one that's a size too small for the lug, then get a BFH and hammer it on there, then find a lot of leverage and it should work.

At Discount Tire we have a lock remover set of round sockets of different sizes meant to be used like this^^ I'm wondering if you could rent a set? Or maybe just buy a bunch of different sizes, then only use the one you need and return the rest.

Also, studs are replaceable (they should be able to do it at a brake place or possibly a tire shop), so if you need to, you could demolish that stud (drill, cut, tnt, etc) and replace it. They come in singles.

Also, Discount charges like 5 bucks or something to remove a lock, if you wanna just take it there and let them deal with it. I'm assuming other tire places are like that too? I honestly don't know though

Good luck!

*Edit (after pics, lol): I vote kill that stud.

Think Discount will still do it for 5.00 lol I am willing to let them deal with it.

I'm guessing that's just a big blob of JB on the back where the lugnut sets up against the wheel. I'm just trying to find the actual lug in the middle of it all.

No the JB was only on the edges of the key, Long before I killed the lug I put some on the edge of the lug and put the key back in the lug to try and make it stick/hold.

Thats all the lug and the stud back there. Nothing more.

I had a new way which will allow me to get to the back off the lug to get the wheel off. However having a new spindle etc makes life easier in that respect too.

What do you think?
