Default port and polished throttle body dyno numbers

I ported and polished my stock throttle body from my 02 SS. I gained 6 rwhp without a tune. Just wanted to post this for the people that haven't done this yet. It also brought down my fuel air ratio to a much safer number

I followed the how-to on here, i forgot which one but they should all give you the same results. I also noticed a big difference in throttle response.

i have been wanting to do this for a while... how hard is it to do, like how skilled do you have to be with a dremel, cause i really dont want to f up and be stuck w/o a car while i order a new one.

Just to play devils advocate, did the TB actually make more power or was it simply
the tune being tweaked that resulted in the 6rwhp? Also, did you do back-to-back dyno pulls on the same dyno, same day, etc? Is that SAE or STD?

i dont think it is possible to mess up! I did mine and it was the first time Ive used a dremel! Get a good polishing wheel and compound and it will shine pretty good! My friend got his done from some guy he knows and it has a mirror finish! I dont know how he did it but mine looks somewut polished but nowhere near his....ill try to get pics of both

no, what i did is i had 2 throttlebodies, one stock on the car, one ported. i ran the car with it stock, then switched them and gained 6 to the wheels. Still havent tuned my car yet, stil working on a few things before we tune it. the pulls were back to back, 5 mins apart. they told me the number were the corrected ones.
