I thought a true dual exhaust sounded like **** since it would be 4 cylinders and 4 cylinders when compared to using an X or H pipe. I heard a Dodge Viper with a true dual exhaust and it was horrible.

NO..You should hear my brother's C6 M6 with Billy Boat Route 66 on it. He just got it on today..I ordered it for him and he came into my office this morning with a big smile on his face.. We don't like the high pitched racy sound. This exhaust is top notch..Its all chrome and sounds un freaking believable! Go to www.billyboat.com and listen to the clip..The bullet is just too annoying..We aren't 22 yr olds, closer to 40 so we like the classier sound.. ![Chug! Chug! See I disagree completely. I get tired of the whole deep tone thing that all companies advertise their exhausts with. What if I don't want a deep tone? Myself I like the ones that are higher pitched such as the Corsa. I like to hear them scream myself, that's what I think sounds good.

Actually your wrong on both of those. A crossover is not going to make it any louder, don't know where you got that from. And a crossover is for scavenging not backpressure. An x pipe for instance, creates a vacum with the exhaust pulse on the opposite bank thereby pulling exhaust out of the cylinder. Make sense? A h-pipe does the same thing in theory but isn't near as effective.

I think the Mustangs sound better IMO, but I could never bring myself to own one. Not because of the lack of horsepower, price, or degree of difficulty to work on, but because I can not stand the seats/interior in those things. I'm about 6'3'' 220 and I feel so crammed in every Mustang I've ever been in. At least F-bodies the seat will recline enough I can actually get comfortable. Ford must be doing something right, though. They've sold a hell of a lot of those things.
On a lighter note, I really like the sound of my LT1 with Hooker LTs, custom Y-pipe, and B&B. Now that I think about it, I have never heard an LS1 with a B&B kit in person, but I'd sure like to. I bet it'd sound good.

LT1's sounds better than both of them. I did'nt know LS1's had popcorn makers In their mufflers. As for mustangs, they sound fast anyway. I'ts funny how ford guy's think that mustangs are soooo fast. It has taken them 10 yrs. to sell a NBO car that still has trouble w/LT1's.Now for pure power NBO,LS1's will eat your slowstangs all day long.Who cares how they sound when they are behind you.........
i vote both cause i love the RAW sound of power the LS1 makes with Longtubes no cats and cut-out, but i also love the exotic sound the mustang makes too(hence i own one) but I have no trouble beating LT1's....stock they are slow(not off the line!)but i pass'em bout 40-45ish and I'm basiclly stock with just orh and flows. my old 97 turd GT hung with one from a 40 roll....barelly but my cobra eats them and its a 97 too....now LS1's is a diff story!

I have only raced 2 sn95 Cobras. One a 5.0 and one a 4.6. Both were bolt-on cars and they saw tailights. That was when my car had 4.10s and nothing else. I'd say 97 Cobra vs 97 LT1 is a driver's race. That's the way its been with me anyway. Reguardless, they are both respectable cars, especially for their time.
