Default Best sounding exhaust poll.

So here you have it. Sense it's about exhaust, we'll just leave two options. Full exhaust mustang, or full exhaust ls1?

I love gm and have never owned a ford product or ever will but id have to go with a crustang for sound.........throw a pair on mufflers on a 210hp gt and it instantly sounds like it has 450hp.

LT1's sounds better than both of them. I did'nt know LS1's had popcorn makers In their mufflers. As for mustangs, they sound fast anyway. I'ts funny how ford guy's think that mustangs are soooo fast. It has taken them 10 yrs. to sell a NBO car that still has trouble w/LT1's.Now for pure power NBO,LS1's will eat your slowstangs all day long.Who cares how they sound when they are behind you.........

I voted for mustang, but now im wondering if ''full exhaust ls1'' includes true duals?? Or factory style y-pipe junk we have to deal with.

I would have to agree with the above. My friend has a Mach1 and we put our catbacks on at the same time and I couldn't believe how much better his sounded.

to me mustangs are kind of like dodge trucks... throw on some exhaust and they sound great but they are still slow and i would never drive one.

Stangs sound good but who cares about the sound. I'd take a car that sounds like a lawn mover that runs 9's over a great sounding car that sounds like it runs 9's but runs 13's.. lol! hell my buddy has a Fox body with a built 306 and a Vortech and 2x the cost of the caqr in mods. It sounds wicked as hell.. it runs low 12's and he's scared to mess with my stock internal LS1 because guess what... it runs low 12's at the same mph for 1/2 the cost! lol!!

and FWIW even true dual LS1 usually don't sound as good IMO, but y pipe LS1 sound like complete *** 99.9% of the time

Mustangs sound good but I like the sound of the LS1 better. I used to have a 2v 4.6 Mustang and I pulled up next to Blackbird and revved on him. He made me sound pretty weak. Neither one of us were full exhaust though. I believe the Blackbird is just a GMMG cat-back and I had Flows on the stang. If you include the vette in this little survey then its the LS1 all the way. Go to Corsa's site and listen to the C5 with the Indy's. That's one of the best sounding cars I've heard for just a CB exhaust. I haven't heard too many stangs with a full exhaust so maybe it skews my judgement.
