Default My car runs dramatically better on 94 oct than 93 is that normal.

Anybody else notice this. I'm not complaining. My car runs good on 93 but I never thought it would make that much of a difference.

I always ran 94 but I tried 93 for a few tanks and thought it felt a little slower but I thought maybe it was just warmer summer air. Then I went back to 94 to see if I could notice the difference and it's really a pretty noticeable difference, especially right after the shifts at WOT. Seems like the shifts are harder and it pulls better at the lower RPM's. I notice it at the higher RPM's too but the lower RPM's is pronounced.

Seattle area only has 92 octane max. But near the racetrack in Auburn there are stations with 94 all over the place for cheap.

we have 94 at some stations around me.

But the best thing I have found around me so far is some stations still dont have Ethanol in their gas, and the news did a story on those stations last week and they said theyre not going to goto the Ethanol blend until there is no more non-Ethanol gas to get

Yeah i ******* hate that! The closest shell station to me is the only one without the ethanol in it. I'm going to cry if it changes. I'll pay an extra 25 cents per gallon to not fill up with that ethanol crap.

What's the problem with ethanol? Is it bad for our engines?
