Lid, catback, exhaust, headers, LS6 intake or better, cam, nitrous, 4.10 gears. Dumping any extra weight would help. At those power levels you would also need a clutch and 12 bolt/9 inch. Those cars are no joke.

Wow, this is a loaded question because there's so many ways to do so. First off you need to know what your up against. A new Z06 (06 and up) are very capable of running 10.70s-10.80s with CAI, Full Exhaust, Sticky tires and a tune. With that being said now just start searching through threads to determine what combo you chose.

There are many ways to reach this goal but you will probably keep coming back to N20 and alot of it!

Good Luck!

you need a prayer and some serious mods to pull it off. I'd try to race one if it was me but i wouldn't be expecting to hang much if any

I've done it but i definately needed the bottle. Even the stoutest H/C cars will not hang with out a power adder.

There's a guy here that kept up with an intake/tune C6Z06 from a 45-130 roll. 228R cam, 125 wet shot HSW plate kit, all the free mods, full bolt ons, tune, untouched heads, stock gears (M6), LS7 clutch.

But he was just keeping up with it, not inching it, but not getting pulled. The Z06 would definitely kill him at the track though, lol. He's lowered on 315 Sumitomo's.

Good luck

i pulled my buddies ZO6 by 2 cars with heads and cam and aps tt kit @ only 7psi. My car is running pretty strong 587 rwhp 522 rwtq on a mustang dyno. My buddies Z06 has bolt ons and a tune with just over 500 hp on a dyno jet. Still a sick car with only bolt ons

Big cam and some dope, plus everything to support it. I trap 129.xx with a ms4 and a 150 dry shot. 129 is the fastest a stock z06 has ever trapped.

This guy is right becuase it looks like he's got a pretty Stout H/C car off the spary. (Nice car)
To the OP you should maybe set your sights on beating an older z06 first.
Just my .02.

...oh wait, that's "jesus TAKE the wheel"......well you'll need that too! Z06's are lighter too and more aerodynamic...its tough to pull one

For a dig race, id say some good heads(AFR or TFS), a good size cam, full exhaust, fast 92 combo, some 4.11s, drag radials, and some nitrous.

For a roll race or high speeds you would need a little more than that I would think, those things are quick on roll races beacuse they are alot more aerodynamic.

In all honesty if you want to run down Z06s in your car id look into building a stroker, 402 or 408 with good heads and a 150 shot just in case he has some mods.

No need for heads, a big cam and shot will push the bottom end to the limit by its self. 4.11s would make you run out gear at around 126 so thats no ngood either. A well built 408 on a 150 would walk a stock or lightly modded z06 easy.

Ok I have both a Z28 (98) and I did 12.02 @ 118mph and a Z06 and it did 12.04 @ 123-124mph cant remember the exact trap speed the Z06 has cutouts only but I don't think thy made a diffrence cus my numbers stock were about the same. my Z28 has most of the free mods airlid and duals after the stock cats and manifolds and a 150 shot. I would say a full bolt on,cam and 150 shot ls1 would run with a stock Z06 from feeling both cars and lookin at the times if I get a little better with launching the vette or better tires I can easliy hit mid 11's..It's a very difficult car to launch but I can bang the gears really good
