Stupid people (long vent) First off, I'm not sure if this is in the right forum but o well mod will move it if not. ANY WAY twice today I saw a beautiful clean Black LS1 SS (same car twice). First time driver is in reverse and while rolling backwards throws it in drive and jerked the car foward
. Car was a automatic btw then the second time she drives over a giant metal capwhich was clearly visible(gas station top of gas tank) thus slamming drivers side wheels onto the ground. I'm sorry but it gets me real pissed to see stupid people with nice cars that are treated like ****. To each his own, but living on the Jersey shore I see to much crap like this. Anyone else ever witness anything like this? I would expect a kid doing this, but grown adults. i just want to tell them hi you don't deserve this car have a nice day.
Gets me more mad seeing a LS1 treated like a 89 civic

I don't see it very much. I've only seen 1 girl in a ta around here and she keeps it pretty clean. If they wanna tear it up then let them. They're ******* there self over. Not much you can do. Keep yours in tip top shape so yours stands out above hers.
Jerseys got the worst capwhiches I've ever seen.

Well, you gotta' understand that to 99% of the people on this planet, cars are just "cars," whether it's a Civic, F-body or a Ferrari, it's just a rolling piece of machinery to these people, nothing more. They don't worship these things or are fanatical about these cars like we are. Just look the other way and be thankful that there are some people out there that feel the way you do.

I guess we have to come to the realization that our cars are not REALLY that nice anymore. Mine is nearly 10 years old and I definately wouldn't consider it "late model" anymore.
Maybe I should phrase it differently. There are nice fbodys out there. But even the nice ones can be had for around $11K-$12K. Ones with high miles can be had for significantly less. Seems as if we are the new mustang 5.0. Fast but affordable.

that might hurt alot of feelings, but i dont think yet. maybe in a few years time as the age reallllly starts to show, esp since, in 4 years, every one of them will be a decade+ yrs old. i mean hell, in 4 years, the oldest LT1 will be almost 20 years old.

Dont let it get to you. Its really none of your business what someone else does with their car, even if its a FBody owner! You mean to tell me you NEVER did stupid **** in your car? If you were that worked up, you should of followed the person & told them how you felt.

When I was in high school I knew a girl whos daddy bought her a brand new WS6 for her 16th b-day. I saw her jump the car through a wash in the neighborhood and tear the nose off. Daddy fixed it, then she hit it too hard leaving the school parking lot in the rain and tore the undercarrige out from underneith jumping the median backwards into oncoming traffic, once again daddy fixed it. Just before her 17th b-day she was drunk & wrapped it around a pole. Daddy bought her a brand new truck.

There is a rich girl in our town who has crashed her T/A 2 or 3 times, she just doesn't care. On the "Seems as if we are the new mustang 5.0. Fast but affordable." comment, I do quite think so, cars are going to be getting slower and slower now with the new cafe standards so I think our cars may actually go back up in price if the economy gets back on track, but I might also be crazy to think that.
