Default Magnaflow dyno test?

Anyone know of any dyno tests being done on a stock LS1 F-Body with a Magnaflow exhaust?

I was searching, but I haven't had any luck finding one so far. I was wondering if anyone here might have remembered seeing one.

I'm wondering what the actual power gains, if any, are on a stock LS1.

Thanks!

Stock ls1 possibly, but I lost rwhp going from a stock SS exhaust the the Magnaflow. It was the first mod done to my car. talk about pissed when I put it on the rollers after the swap. sounds great though.

SS is already better. Z28 Catback sucks. Magnaflow helps a Z28 out.

Ok, so basically the only reason to do it is for the sound.

I'd probably be dollars ahead by just replacing the muffler then.

I just want a better sound, stock is too quiet. I really don't care about 5 or 10 rwhp, not really worth the money IMO.

Every little bit helps. I went with the Magnaflow and just recently installed a cutout....now that sounds mean!

Z28's is more restrictive, while the SS flows much better. SS also has larger tips, the Z28's are smaller, therefore more constricting.

It's really not THAT much, but it sounds like ****. Magnaflow sounds like THE ****

you're smoking something illegal if you think the tips on the z28 are restrictive

the MF is a great flowing setup. i know the old MF i had on my LT1 only showed a 4hp gain on the dyno when the cutout was opened.

considering guys see 10-15hp regularly with cutouts on stock exhausts...i find it hard to imagine the setup is "restrictive"

but whatever...typing is cheap on the internet

The SS had two exhaust systems, the GM version and the optional SLP Dual/Dual. The SLP one flows better, but the GM SS (with one round tip at each pipe) is identical to the Z28 muffler. Both exhaust systems were 2.75" with 2.5" tips. The SLP had 3" pipe with 2.5" tips.

Typical gains with most aftermarket exhaust will be around 10rwhp, just purchase the exhaust system that has the tone you like. I prefer the Hooker.

even if you lose a few hp, you really buy exhaust for the sound. you buy true duals for HP gains.....or LM1 lol.

i say magnaflow + cutout. great sound and a screamer when you open it up, plus ive seen cutouts go for 25rwhp gains, but little or a loss on torque

You do realize that is "ADVERTISEMENT" I can run the dyno and show you gains going back to a stock exhaust too.

What did SLP advertise the loudmouth as for hp gain 41rwhp? I'm sure thye have dyno sheets to prove it.

I would expect a gain of aprox 10hp from a catback...not much more. I have a Magnaflow and love the quiet rumble at idle and the roar at WOT.

Look into a Hooker Aeroflow too. Sounds great and flows a little more.
