Windshield is kinda hard to miss i guess.

I wonder what it would take to make a laser-stealth car (passive)

I'd imagine flatblack, no windshield, and no reflectors.

I guess I could of said compared to other cars that the F body and in particular the Firebird models are harder to laser. Considering that you only have the smaller front running and turn signals to bounce off of compared to usually HUGE grills, lights and turn signals. Im not saying that it doesnt happen but there is just less area for the laser to work with. The windshield IS large but it has such a big rake that I dont think it would be a good target.

I guess you can call the Firebird a bulleyes while other cars are the whole dart board.

Laser will bounce off painted surfaces as well. The front bumper works just fine on the firebird. Your thinking it has to be a reflective surface, it doesn't, body panels work just fine. Similar to the way hunting range finders work. Shoot it at a tree and it gives you the distance. The tree isn't a reflective material. The firebird is no harder to laser than any other car of its size..

Just curious lol..... dumb popos have nothin better to do lol
Dude that blows im not to shure on how the court or ticket systems work. As for radars make shure you get a good one. Just rember alot of cop cars now are un-senceable to alot of radar jammers/detectors due to laser technoligy. I got one for 150 at best buy it saved me a few times. Then agian i got pulled over at least 9-12 times. (only like twice with it) Each time i got a warning due to my active duty milatary id even when i was going 82mph over. (142mph in a 60) Im still counting my blessings expecially sence i usually got my 40cal on me.

I know it doesnt havent to be reflective however it doesnt mean that the laser doesnt like to find the reflective parts first though. Just going off what my uncle has top me about their laser units and which cars are easier and so on.

We have a good amount of long flat roads out here. I was using a friends Radar Detector and it picked up a County Sheriff over a mile and a half away.. I was like WTF..

That was the only time I used a Radar Detector, since then I'm looking for the same one to buy but haven't found it. I remember it was a Cobra.

I'm from NY.. I've seen all kinds of ****. They sit in Car Dealerships in between cars and nail you like that too..fckn ********..

And as far as the Seat Belt Ticket.. it's your own dumbass fault for not wearing it, I think they should up it..

Lasers haven't been documented and certified like radars have. Thats just one of the loop holes of "speeding"

while radars require the usage of tuning forks to verify that they are reading correctly i don't think lasers do. Can anyone add to this? I really don't know.

As for whoever mentioned seat belt tickets, who cares, seat belt tickets are worse than speeding tickets imo, a single person not wearing a seatbelt is not going to harm anyone besides themselves. I've yet to see someone in another car die because the other guy wasn't wearing his seatbelt. Seatbelt laws are just created to bring in cash, no one has the right to tell me what i can or can't do to myself.

As a laser instructor yes they have been documented and certified. I bring my paperwork with me when I go to court just in case people try that BS loophole. I don't know who told you that but they are wrong. Otherwise laser wouldn't be allowed in court. The only bad thing with laser is that you have to be sitting still yourself, but that should be changing in the next couple of years..

I bet you I could clock you no problem. Passive jammers simply don't work. There are no active radar jammers sold in the US due to FCC restrictions. Laser can be jammed and there are devices out there that do work for jamming laser and detecting radar. But I have tested many many devices at various schools I have been too and none work for jamming radar. There are plenty of tests posted on the internet about the BS of passive jamming..

The V1 is a little outdated, keeps getting more and more outdated every year they go without changing their technology http://radartest.com/article.asp?articleid=9090

When i was shopping for my radar i thought the same thing... but then i got more information and came to realize that that review, and anything from radar roy, is actually not very reliable... all i have to say look at the top of the page and click on the link that says "online store". These people are connected with that radar roy character who just wants to sell more crap.

I had an rx65, i returned it and went with the v1. When it comes to detection, v1 has been and probably always will be king. I love my bogey counter, and I love my arrows, it makes a difference when it comes to knowing whats up.

I have an Escort 9500i and it works great too. The V1 would be the only other one I'd consider.

And as mentioned, you need a scanner to pick up police bands, a CB won't. But having a scanner won't do you much good for this purpose. I have one myself but not for these purposes.

And come on how can ya say not to do dumb **** if you're running from the cops, LOL. Locals deal with just as much too, atleast around here. The Troopers deal with the same crap as locals do in the areas that don't have a local department. And if you run from a local and they choose to actually pursue you, you can be sure you'll have a Trooper ready with some spike strips.

I've only gotten one ticket ever, for doing 65 in a 50 on a 2 lane road out of state. Was only $50 and no points.
