what happened to my car ? lost power after induction service
A while back i had an induction service done to my 2002 Z28 Camaro and then it all went to **** . I was running 8.596 in the 1/8 the day before . Then after my induction service i started running in the high 9's low 10's . well i thought it was my intake gasket , wrong ! then i had a friend diagnose my vacum pressure . he found a few things . picked up about .3 secs . then i put ZR1 rims with 315's on the back .took me down to 8.989 in the 1/8 mile . new fuel filter , free ram air mod , weight lightened up by 78 lbs. , TR6 plugs , new wires , throttle body cleaned and bypassed the hose on throttle body . Why cant i pick up anymore time ?

well i had a super tune done on it right after i got it , then i did the induction service . as for the plugs , i hvent pulled those yet , but i only have 1200 miles or so on them . i haven't noticed any signifigant temp. increases either . it just feels like it weighs 8000 pounds !!! only thing that i noticed was it doesnt hit right when i push the gas pedal .could it be that my tune was set up for the clogged injectors or do you think i have a serious problem?

I'd check to see if the ECU is storing any codes. O2's, dirty MAF, clogged air filter, clogged fuel filter are all possibilities. Doesn't sound too serious. Stay away from high revs till you fix it. Probably wouldn't drive it if possible.

Pull your plugs and check your o2's. Depending how much crap they blew out during the service it could have fouled them out. Depending what service you're talking about, alot of times they put some crap in the fuel tank also. Are you still on the same tank as when you got it back?
edit: reread your post, even if you changed the plugs after the service I'd still pull them and check em for deposits. If the only mods you have are the free ram air mod and tb bypass, TR6 are too cold of plugs to run. If your plugs are too cold, you're gonna get deposits on em, loose power, and foul them out. If the induction service fouled out your plugs, and you replaced them with the wrong plugs, it would explain why your car feels unresponsive and slow.

hey thanks joe. but i just pulled the plugs and they are fine .i guess my next step would be gettinf long tubes , y-pipe , and full exhaust with new O2 sensors .seeing as how in sc , we dont have a state inspection , i was thinking of having my tune guy bypass the O2 sensors and just run without them. i just ordered the new polluter cam package and new converter ,my ring and pinion will be installed next week .with all of that i should be able to hit low 7's . that is without shooting it !!but thanks for the advice guys .
