Default Whats wrong with my car? Headlight problem?

I just got off my car and locked it...all of a sudden the headlights go up and go back down and after the go down an annoying sound starts to arise from the passenger headlight... after like a few seconds it goes away... what is going on with my car? is this an electrical problem? alarm problem?..please help the noise is horrible and annoying..

Typical firebird break. Headlight motor gear is stripped and slipping. You need to take it out and turn the gear 180* for a temp fix or buy the brass gears. Head to the firebird section and you'll see it in the stickys

where can i order or buy the gear?... I tried the temp fix but didnt work couple of the teeth on the gear are broken

On ebay they sell the bronze and aluminum gears and it comes with the glue and instructions to do it, ive done both of mine.They run about $42 for the aluminum and $45 for the bronze.

There is a site that has the brass kit for both of them, I ordered them a year or two back, they came with detailed instructions. it's really quite simple to do...i'll see if i can find the link and pm it to you.

Just Google 4th gen headlight gear fix and you should get a link to bffranker, i bought mine from there had it now for over a year and no problems. Damn that sound was really embarrassing that's why i locked it when i was at least 10 feet away so that nobody would know it was my car making that noise!
