Default Driveshaft Clunking Damage... PICS

So it all started yesterday when I did a small launch from a light to get ahead of traffic because my lane was ending... All of sudden my car had some nasty vibrations and clunking on acceleration from a stop. I looked underneath the car and couldn't find much out of the ordinary so I decided to pull the driveshaft to inspect it..

Well here's what I found:

So how did this happen? There isn't any slop in the rear and I don't see anything out of the norm on the input shaft of the driveshaft... I think one of the bolts on the driveshaft was snug but not tight . Also, what should I replace? I plan on atleast replacing the bolts but should I also replace the driveshaft? U-Joint?

Thanks in advance for all of your help!!

Torque arm is firm.

I grabbed a hold of it to see if there was any play and it didn't budge.

Holy ****... not sure how I missed this but the torque arm is broke at the rear. It's still attached but sheared and bent.

I'll post a pic in a few.

here's the pic:

you can see that it's still bolted to the rear and I circled the spots where it has sheared.

I'll be taking it off shortly for some better pics...

Looks like maybe that torque arm was hitting the driveshaft after it was bent due to the grinding mark on that driveshaft.

the drive shaft was rubbing up against the parking brake bracket from what I can tell...

Also my rear end looks like it's cocked upward a little. Is this normal or am I just seeing things?????

Ok so here's a pic of a rear end from a thread in the appearance/detail section:

I definitely see something is different here... is my rear twisted upward????

It's tilted up because of the torque arm

Something has been making some noise under mine....and it kinda clunks when you first put it under load, but not like a u-joint clunk....I peaked underneath, but haven't crawled under yet. I wonder if this is what I will find?

yeah... I'm not surprised either. In a couple years I plan on putting in a 9'' and upgrading the suspension but right now I'm looking for a house. Figure in a couple years my 10 bolt will break and I'll be forced to upgrade.

I guess to get her back on the road I'll get an adj. torque arm for the stock 10 bolt. I'm considering a relocation kit too for protecting the tailshaft.

When installing the adj torque arm what do you all use to measure and set the pinion angle?? From the looks of it my rear will need some adjustment..

Get an angle finder with the torque arm whenever you order it. The only reason the rea is tilted so bad now is because there is no torque arm when you put it back it'll be better.
