Default P0430 code, chances are it's the cat right?

Car threw a P0430 today, I did a search and people say 90% chance it is the cat conv. Now I can take it to any GM dealer and it's covered as these have a warranty right? (8yr/80k regardless)

That's how it worked when I had a cat take a dump on me.

More than likely it is the rear O2 sensors.

Yes it's the cat and yes they will replace it under the 8/80. We have had several of these come into the dealership including my car...it seems GM had a bad batch of cats..always sets a P0420 and always is the drivers side cat. The P0430 I dont see too often...cuz its usually the drivers side.

Wouldn't P0420 would be the drivers side cat, P0430 the passenger side?

Went to autozone and had them scan it. I have a list of things it 'could' be but I did a quick search here and people say more than likely it is the cat. I'm debating whether to put in some 02 sims, maybe that will fix the problem as yesterday I got a emmissions notice in the mail I plan on running LT headers with no cats, ORY in the near future and would need o2 sims regardless.
