Default Pros and Cons of GMMG?

Here is a survey on my decision. Scaled on 1-10, 1 being stock exhaust, and 10 being Super Loud.

1.)How loud is it around town? 1-10
2.)How loud is it out idle? 1-10
3.)How loud is it at WOT? 1-10
4.)How loud is it a crusing speed? 1-10

Just an answer will do on these.

5.)Will it be obnoxious?
6.)Will people hear it from far away, like cops, and wil it scare little children ?(Who cares? )

And that is it, I have heard Loud Mouth in person and must say I love how loud it is. I just don't want all of the draw backs like the resonence and the loud cruse sound so if I got Loud Mouth I most definatly would convert it into dynomouth. I will be getting GMMG in the next few weeks and just wanted to know what I got myself into. Thanks GMMG owners.

Its a little bit quieter than the loudmouth. Its quieter than the LM at all rpms. Its fairly quiet around town. The tone is different than the LM. It sounds better than any catback ive heard. No rasp at all unless you do headers and off-road y. It sounds alot better than the Flowmaster!

1) 5 -> 7 when I really want to be heard ie. keeping it in first!
2) 4
3) 7
4) 5
5) It is not obnoxious. I like to call it a refined muslecar sound
About as loud as Loudmouth, not as raspy.
You can not beat it.

If you plan to run without cats, it will be too loud.

Huh? It can never be too loud! That is unless you get anoyed easily, or it is so loud that your ears bleed and then you die, aside from that, I think the louder the better. The cops don't feel the same sadly. Also, how are you on bad rap if you don't live near Tampa?(NOT BASHING YOU, DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING I SAID PERSONAL)

1. depends on what gear your in (5+).
2. 4 nice stealthy tone
3. 7+ and it screams like a muscle car. Best sounding exhaust on an F-Body IMO.
4. same as #1
5. You can actually hold a conversation in the car so to answer your question it's not obnoxious.
6. I haven't personally had problems with the cops and yes people know when you around because they turn and look when I'm crusin.
It doesn't sound bad at all to me with the LT's and ORY but I also have a cam so it adds to the affects of the sound . Hope this helped you out.

I had an LM, LM with headers and ORY, and now Duals. I have heard a GMMG in person also. I liked the LM with a stock setup, the rasp pissed me off with the headers. The GMMG was a little more tame with a better tone. The only thing better than the GMMG is Duals, but they are loud as hell. With any of the above you will not be .

I just want to be alot louder then Flowmaster! Flow is way way too quiet, and even at WOT. So will it be alot louder the Flow at WOT, idle, cruise, and louder all around?

IMO its the best catback. The only downside would be the price...for the money they want, they can keep it.....and ill stick to my duals

I love my GMMG exhaust around town, it is throaty and draws attention. Step on the go pedal hard and it is Loud (Scare co-workers, little children, and ricers, my favorite). I am very happy with my purchase, just try to get it used.

OK, I think I'm fairly qualified to answer your questions since I first had the GMMG on my mostly stock 2000 A4 Z28 and now again on my stockish 2002 M6 Z28.

When fully warmed up, idle is very mellow(especially on the A4). I think the Flowmaster you have now idles louder...

But it is much better than the Flowmaster everywhere else after that even though I personally like the Flowmaster tone!

It is fairly loud on acceleration and has a noticealbe rumble just cruising around.

My favorite part of this cat-back system is the unique sound it makes at WOT. Holy $HIT! I still cannot get over how much better it sounds at full throttle than the Borla & SLP LM that I tried before(very loud, yet very deep/muscular). With some LT headers(including highflow cats), it is the best WOT sound I've heard yet on any 4th gen F-body. I even liked it better than the true dual set-up I heard in person if that tells ya anything...

And remember, the GMMG isn't really that loud inside the car(not much interior noise & NO drone), but it is very loud outside the car.
