Sounds good, thanks for the info. We'll be testing one on this CTS-V either at the end of this week or early next week. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=29 Bob

I'm assuming you're an engineer from Edelbrock as I was just on the phone yesterday with Dave S. talking about this exact issue, and he talked to engineering and told me the exact same info.
I've gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed that this intake cannot accommodate a stock GM 90mm Throttle body. Almost anyone that will be running this intake will likely already have some sort of 90mm throttle body with the GM 4 bolt pattern on it.

On another note in your testing might it be possible to look at testing this intake with a P&P TB vs the 90mm? Especially true if your actually looking at a cam that is in it's expected opertional range of this manifold.

i have a feeling this intake is going to do just what edelbrock says its going to do. They have been around forever, have a good rep, and make quality components. I really look forward to seeing the results come out. I am also curious to see if someone will try their hand at porting this intake manifold. wonder if it can be ported, and if it is what the results are.

My bad about the rpm range, I was thinking the range was more to the 1500-6500 range where most street engines run, Looking at running up above the 6500 range the 90mm would make more sense if this is where you intend to run it. Running the 85MM should give better throttle response & lowerend tourque numbers. I dont believe I will ever run the car at the drag strip at this point, if I do it will only be at a Nostalgia weekend event. I still would like to see what the overall difference would be on a street based machine running a P&P 85 vs 90mm tb.

I got the updates from your V build up. That really blows, what on earth was edelbrock thinking. Great product...way off on the demographic. Let's see doesnt fit any F-body, GTO, Vette, CTS-V. Who the hell do they plan on marketing this thing to?

We tried installing the new sweet looking Edelbrock Pro-Flo XT manifold on Bob's V. It looked like it might fit with his cowl hood, but the manifold is just a little too tall.

This was a far as the hood would shut. The intake looks too cool not to use it. I know it will fit on a C5 or C6 with a little work and a cowl hood, as we have used Sheet metal intakes that are about the same dimensions. Bob
