Default Power loss and backfires afer exhaust install

I recently installed Pacesetter LT's with custom H-Pipe true duals. Now my car has no power at all and constantly backfires after it gets warmed up and it kind of lurches and backfires really bad at WOT. I know there is some loss of low end torque after LT's are installed but I don't think that it is supposed to be this bad. It doesn't have anywhere near the amount of power it had before through the entire RPM range. What could possibly cause this?

First check the stupid things like spark plugs and wires, that is most likely your problem.
Did you crack a porcelin plug, or damage a wire?

That would be my first guess as well. Check the plugs and wires. We have a new set of TR-55/TR-6 plugs in stock as well as MSD wires if you end up needing a set.

Are your O2 sensors connected correctly? Some have messed this up when changing exhausts..

like every one above, seems like you either forgot a plug or one of your wires is touching the manifold.

I'm agreeing with everyone else. first time i installed my headers my buddy dropped a plug and it cracked the porcelain. it wasn't noticeable until I found which cylinder was misfiring and I had to inspect the plug pretty close to find it and even then almost overlooked it. If all your plugs and wires are good and tight it might be an exhaust leak. I doubt a leak would make that much ruckus but it's possible

I figured it might be the plugs, so I bought some TR55's. Although I won't be able to install them until this weekend. If that doesn't fix it I'll replace the O2 sensors. How much would those run and what kinds should I look at?

an o2 sensor wouldnt give you that problem it would go into closed loop. i am betting its a missfire more than likely plug or wire

a front O2 sensor would probably be able to cause that... but it's probably more than likely a plug or wire instead.

or a coincidental coil dying out.

Had the same problem, make sure the plug wire clicks twice to make sure they're on good. I thought mine were tight until my friend got in there and proved me wrong. Great ever since!

Pulled the plugs today. Number 6 was cracked and number 7 was shattered. The ceramic had split down the middle and fallen off. Now the car runs smoother than ever and feels like it has more power than it ever did. I also replaced the O2 sensors because they were fried.
