Solid Motor Mount "Comfyness" Thinking of just buying some solid motors mounts and not having to worry about them ever again. The car right now is a DD and I will soon be taking it off the roads. Anybody have any vibration issues with them or anything bad??

Well the car is going to vibrate a bit more. From what i understand its like an exhaust system, its your personal preference. You may think its to much for your DD, and it may not even bother others.

I bought a set because I thought I would want to go that route but never ended up using them. The thought of how much a pain in the *** it would probably be to pull the trans didn't sound appealing to me. If something happens and I need to get it out the least work possible is nice. With the solid motor mounts the trans won't rock back.

I chickened out when I was buying mounts, I thought that the poly mounts would be the best for my "weekend warrior" but now I'm having second thoughts after riding in a solid mount car.

Im contemplating on getting Poly or solid. After reading peoples post's on the board about the negative side of solids with all the vibrating I thought I had made my mind up to get poly's. For some reason I really want the Solids though. The car already vibrates to me and isnt the greatest ride compaired to some other cars I have been in....But that isnt all that important to me. Of course I dont want to feel like Im in a stock race car, but at the same time I dont expect a luxurious ride either. Do you feel a significant difference in vibration in lower speeds vs higher speeds? I think I want to go with solids but still need to read some more.
i went with poly motor an trans mounts and noticed barely any vibration, but now i wish i would have went solid. i have dumped duals, and i doubt the vibration would be noticable over my exhaust now anyway.

I run a cutout so I cant here **** anyway and I have no turndown at the moment so riding in the car is like being in a mason jar full of bottle caps. Doesnt bother me
I did the spohn solid mounts on my 98 z28 had a vic jr intake with a elbow on it. After the mounts my elbow wouldnt fit and my headers hit the floor pan. Did some cutting and welding and it all worked out great. True duals dumped vibrated like hell. If you put change in the cup holder it would dance around LOL. I loved them though.
I've got spohn solid mounts in the Camaro. Trex. I like it. Chicks dig it. And I mounted my boomtubes to the floorpan and nothing moves. Overall impression, hell yeah. Next- motor plates.
