Default Kooks Headers

No experience with ARH but I thought the fit and finish on my Kooks stepped headers, Kooks 4" y-pipe, 4" Mufflex/Spintech was awesome. Ground clearance is great and clearances around other undercar components was good.

+1...ARH all the way!
I had 1 3/4" Kook's on my previous T/A and my current 1 7/8" ARH's fit tons better. Even with the smaller primaries my Kook's were MUCH closer to the wiring, k-member, etc. and actually burnt through my cam sensor harness wiring in which I had to re-wire/mod/shield from getting burnt through again. The ARH's with bigger primaries that I have now clear everything tons better than any other header design that I've ever seen before in my almost 9 years in the LSX scene, the fit & finish on them is absolutely awesome! Beautiful welds, on a great design and stellar customer service...nothing beats that

They both are great headers but I like the HVMC so I bought the ARH. Nick put a 3" end on my Y pipe for me for no additional charge. I could not believe that a 1 7/8 header slides right into place like they do. Awesome product and great customer service.

We worked with Kooks on the revised design..it should match or exceed most anything on the market. Everyone will have their brand preference like Nike vs. Reebok, and you can't go wrong with either. With Kooks however, if you call us...we can either do free coating if you pay the website price...or give you a deal that will make them signifigantly cheaper. So basically we can create a lot of value if you get Kooks.

FWIW... I will be ditching my QTP LTs in favor of an ARH setup. Tired of these shitty QTPs leaking at driver side collector where the top outer primary merges into the collector.

I went with kooks 1 7/8 and love them, they were a breeze to install, and mated up well with my QTP Dual E-cutout ORY... Has been my favorite mod to the car... they work very well together....

After doing some reading, I decided to go with ARHs. I ordered my set yesterday. I was a little apprehensive as I'm going to be running TSP true duals with them and I couldn't find anyone that has done that. So, I'm going to be the pioneer and make it work. I can't wait to get them on. I think there will be a significant performance increase over my rusty Pacesetters.

Just out of curiosity, when did you start this practice?
I put on my ARH system last spring and I don't recall my Y pipe being ovaled at that time.

Thanks...

Default Arh

I think either company would be great. I had Kooks on my old bike and they were awesome quality. I got a good deal so I went with the ARH 1-7/8 and love them. First time I ever installed headers and did the whole job myself with no problems (wish I could say that about the motor mounts that I changed at the same time). Anyway...they slid right in with no issues.

I am connecting mine to true duals although mine are a custom set and not the TSP true duals. As long as you haven't clapped the crap out of the duals you should be straight. Mine are welded and unmovable.

ARH Headers on 2" drop
Its probably a pain in the ***, but could you measure the space between the top of your collectors and the floor boards, both sides? I'm trying to see what the ARH's leave for space in that area.

PM me if you ever get the chance to measure that.

Thanks.
