slp air lis vs k&n cold air intake

Default slp air lis vs k&n cold air intake

i was wondering if running the slp air lid with the ram air box is better than running a k&n cold air intake?

technically, you would get cooler air from the intake, but you will get better flow with the lid. Once the car is moving, air circulation under the hood will provide comparably cool enough air to the lid/box.

Go with the lid, then look into ftra, or fra

assuming you dont have a ram air hood: fast toys ram air or free ram air mods work well with the lid

I am not crazy about my k&n intake, I would stick with the lid.

I've got the Fast Toys Ram Air with a lid and I've been very happy with the results. The FTRA was a small hassle to install, but it seems like you get much better air flow than with the free ram air mod.

I put the FTRA on my 98 and picked up about a tenth. Good mod for the money.
