Long-tube headers usually yield 20 to 30 hp depending on how modified the engine is already. Stainless steel headers last longer than ceramic coating, but cost a lot more. The ceramic eventually starts coming off. QTP's and FLP's have the best ground clearance, don't know about Pacesetters. Maybe someone else will chime in . . .

I have the Pacesetter LT's and Y-pipe. The Y-pipe sucks because where the driver side tube is welded into the passenger side tube, they did not cut the hole big enough before they welded it up so half the tube is blocked off. I cut mine off, redone it and welded it back up and now it is fine. Hope this explanation helps. However, the coated headers fit and look great. No complaints on them.

Seems nobody wants to answer the inside and out coating question.

would it really make a difference on the inside? maybe thats why the ones coated on the inside get the 2 extra hp.....not enough to pay the extra couple hundred bucks lol

It's that exhaust gasses are corrosive and can rust from the inside.

because of my pacesetter order b eing screwed up i got one of each coated and uncoated and can say dont get uncoated...even though it may not be on the inside it definitly hasnt started to rust like the uncoated one already has...if you have the extra money id say go with kooks stainless longtubes and a custom ypipe cuz their ypipe isnt all that good. FYI its not that pacesetters coating is any worse than anyone elses...ive seen my fair share of jet hot coatings burn through...yes they have a warranty but see how much you want to take those headers off if need be and possibly have your car not being able to run for a month while they redue yours, not fun. They should last a while but stainless really is the way to go.

ground clearance isnt bad with them....the driver side header does have a little clearnace issue with the K-member on some cars (not all)...nothing 5 minutes and a grinder couldnt fix....also the y-pipe is pretty close and will bang the floorpan on the driver side if it isnt secured properly...

the pacesetter headers are a good set, the headers them self are awesome and fit great. the ypipe is the most painfull part. it is not a great fit, it is really tight and is way too close to the bottom of the car, touches the torque arm and was touching the fuel lines the muffler hanger needs to be removed to move the exhaust back enough to fit the drivers side piece in between the header and i pipe. the pass. side is a pain to connect to the ypipe, it is real tight and goes in on an angle, we had to cut a 1/4in of the pipe to get it to go in there and we had to kick the hell out of it even then. the ypipe will need to be bent down or dipped where the fuel lines and torque arm are, they hit real bad. other than that, their an awesome set for the price

I just got my pacesetters in yesterday from Trevor at TSP. Atleast that's whose name is on the box. They look really really good, I haven't put them on my car yet, but if they sound and fit as good as they look, then I will be very happy.
