Confused about my headers

Got my Jet Hots in the mail the other day, and I'm a bit confused (if you didn't read the title). Is the collector not supposed to have some sort of flange on it? My friend bought Jet Hots for his 95, and his had flanges.

Do they not have them because the cat slides right into the collector or what?

mine dont have flanges either, and they have the emissions stuff

They are made like that for the Y that they sell with them. They use slip connections where one pipe slips into the other and you use a band clamp to keep them together. Sounds like you just bought the headers and not the Y-pipe.

Yeah, a local muffler shop said the most it would cost for a custom y-pipe is $150, so i figured I'd save myself some money.

The only problem with that is not many local muffler shops do mandrel bends.

its expensive in atlanta to get 3" mandrel bends. The smaller sizes aren't so bad. But it seems 3" mandrel bends demand a premium here. Unless cares to share the name of a local atlanta shop.
