Default Removing Headers FROM THE TOP?!?!

Can it be done with the heads off?

If so, what do you need to move? Motor mounts?

Yes it can be done. I had jet hot coated headers and I used a cherry picker to attach to the motor then unbolt the motor mounts to move the motor a little from side to side. Some headers can come right out without unbolting the motor mounts. It will take a little work but it can be done. I perfer to do it that way exspecially if you are taking the heads off. I did mine with them still on.

think that would be much more work than going from on bottom..

get someone you know with a lift (friend of someone that works for a place with a lift) to let you use for 30 minutes or so.. wont take any time at all..


or you can just try jacking it up real high..

Putting the SLP's on from the bottom was one of the biggest PITA's of my life. I was hoping that it would be rather easy to slide them out from the top. I was hoping there would be an easier alternative to going through the bottom.


Lemons:

Easier said than done. The car is taken appart. I'd need a tow truck to move it.

i like my gauges. I need to order the LC-1 controller for my wide band.

I went with Water Temp, Fuel Pressure and Wideband
