Default Pic of my dual exhaust (Kooks X-pipe; ATR Mufflers; Speed Inc. install)

Jon from Speed Inc. snapped a pic of the new dual exhaust yesterday and here it is!

What you are seeing:

Kooks 1.875>2.000 step headers, 3.5 collectors
Kooks 3.5>3.0 reducers
Kooks 3.0 X-pipe
ATR mufflers
Kooks turndowns

All of the install was done at Speed Inc. (www.ls1speed.com)

PSJ, I thought you wanted a setup running out the back instead of dumped due to noise issues. Are the ATR mufflers that quiet that there's no need to go out the back?

Yeah, how does it look from behind? How does it sound without the cats? Loud?

This is actually (grin) the 3rd dual exhaust I have had on the car, they all dump at the rearend. I didn't want to run it to the back since I have a lot going on in back with my external Weldon fuel pump.

Here is a pic of duals #2 from the back:

Yeah I thought you wanted an uber quiet exhaust? This doesn't look quiet at all. I want some mufflers that are deep at idle, quiet at cruising speeds but loud at WOT, do these ATR's fit the bill?

It's as quiet as I can get it and still make big power, ~700-800 crank hp.

It's very very deep at idle. It's fairly loud inside the building, but I suspect that outside it would be about medium on the loud scale. My old setup was say a 9 on a 10 scale, 10 being open headers. Current setup is about a 5. I think the 3.5 header collectors make it louder but I'd have to compare my exhaust to local buddy like Brad's.

Mad you probably see a little rust here and there on my car but that's because we live near the ocean.

If you are always runnin tall tires in back you could probably get away with runnin under the axle tail pipes.

Alston tunnel mount torque arm. Rear mount had to be customized for the 9".

ATR mufflers are carried by www.ls1speed.com

Jim, call up Kooks or one of their distributors.
