? for those w/ true duals & bullets The SLP 2OTL isn't loud enough anymore and I love the sound of true duals. I've been thinking about running 2.5" duals w/ 18"bullets(dumped at rear axle). My question is, how loud is it inside the car? To loud for conversation, cell phone, or radio? Thanks alot guys.

hahahah VERY LOUD. I have mine dumped out the back of the car and it is VERY loud. I will have video clips of it after I get my car back together, should be this week hopefully.

Oh and yes it will be too loud for cell phones and radio and conversation IMO, it almost is now with it dumped out the back.

I have a 8" extention off the headers to a 18" bullets to a turn down (well not actually down but off to the side). I can no longer run it on the street. Even at the dyno shop the cops stopped by and told us to shut the doors due to the noise 
.
If you intend on driving it on the street and have any type of cops in town, don't do it.

Well I don't agree with anything the guys have said above. Look at my sig for setup (exactly what you want, except I have 12" bullets). When you are on the gas it is loud, but not otherwise. I have had many a conversations in the car (not yelling) and didn't have any difficulty. I have also spoke with people on the cell phone while driving. Yes they can hear the car but it is no way unbearable and I can hear them fine as well, and I have a shitty cell phone. And mine are dumped before the axle.
Maybe I got lucky, or there is something different about my setup, but it is not too loud. Its only loud when you open the throttle.

Thanks for your input guys. Now all I gotta do is find a damn muffler shop here in K.C. that will do it. All of the ones I've talked to either won't do it or say it can't be done.

I have a good size cam and I had true duals with x pipe and 18 inch bullets with turndowns before the axle. It was extremely loud. The most irritating feature of this setup was the vibration level inside the car from the exhaust exiting under the car. I eventually switched to a more tame sounding muffler.

It can be done. But you better be damn sure you want it LOUD. My setup will make you go deaf once the pedal is on the floor and the nitrous is flowing. You cannot have your car lowered, or you will beat the **** out of the exhaust. Those scrapes are from touch down, and a few speed bumps.

whats up with the header coating or lack there of :think:
I got screwed by a "professional" powder coater. I gave him $150, and two weeks later the coating was burned off.
I'm putting in some new Hooker SuperComps with a mufflex 4" exhaust system....or maybe just a Spintech oval tube setup, with dumps. I will retire those headers to the hall of shame pile of parts in my garage.
