Default New LSX dyno #'s

I brought my car to the dyno and switched out the 78mm LSX.After doing 8 dyno pulls with the LS6 to make sure I tuned for the most HP I switched to the LSX.Then I tuned the LSX for the most power.

Before # 421hp/388tq
After # 432hp/394tq

There was hp and tq gain across the whole rev range.I have the dyno sheet that will be posted later. All in all I'm very impressed with the power. From what I see the TB is a major restriction. Can't wait till the 90mm version.I definitly feel a big difference in drivability, much crisper throttle response.

Mods
MTI lid
ported MAF
ported TB
TR236/230 cam
ported LS6 heads 2.02/1.60 valves
ASP pulley
FLP headers with ORP
Denny's nitrous driveshaft
Strange 12 bolt with 4.11's

Ls1 Edit

Thanks for sharing the dyno results, I'd love to see how the 90mm does too.

Thanks for doing that testing!! I wish you had access to a 80mm TB and could stick that on there.

Looks good! Not great, but good....I'd feel better if it was making about 15rwhp under the curve in some places. I'm almost starting to regret getting a 78mm intake.

We played around with a few things. We pulled the Lid and gained 4hp which I didn't get when the LS6 was on there.
Also all runs were done with the engine at 170 degree's for even test results.

That's just peak power (I hope), and all of us who are getting them now paid $750 max for these, then you sell your LS6 intake for $325, and you only spend $425 for 11rwhp....

Not the best of numbers, but many of us spend $2000 for 30-40rwhp on heads, which is the same bang for your buck.

Well C-boy we paid $400? for a LS6 intake, for about the same gain, so is 20-25rwhp worth it for $800 (over a LS1 intake)... I think so.

The intake is showing gains across the board like it was claimed to do. The 90MM TBs are gonna provide similar results for the 90MM versions, IMO.

Yeah, if your going from a LS1 intake, It might be something to look at, but theres no need to upgrade from a LS6 quite yet.
