90lbs for an exhaust system is a lot of weight, basically twice as much as a regular catback. $1600 is a lot of money, thats more than ANY corvette catback. If you get kooks headers/catback/all parts necessary to install it is a ripoff. A full corvette exhaust doesnt even cost that much, **** its probably still more expensive than an exhaust for a viper.

An exhaust like this with this type of routing used to be an entirely one off custom setup until now. Aside from Bassani, they have no competition, and the Bassani uses 2.5" pipes, so that's not even a direct comparison.

And why not? The Corvette was designed with a dual exhaust straight from the factory - the f-body was not. Getting two 3" pipes over the axle on the same side of the car where only one 3" pipe was designed to go is not trivial. When complexity and required precision go up, so does the price.

the bassani is 2.5" yea, its a tad smaller but that will be more than enough for most people on here and it is about $1000 cheaper when its all said and done.

If you don't like the price, then don't buy it. It's dumb to complain about it. There are plenty of other expensive parts on the market that I don't see people complaining about. $3,000 heads, $3,000 wheels, $3,000 clutches. Why don't you go and complain that they are overpriced too!

look at my pics yes the panhard relocation is def required but the drivshaft loop as you can see in my pics is not I dont have one Like has been said in other post if you dont like the price well dont friken buy it plain and simple, I already had the full chassis setup so I didnt have to make the other purchases to make due but you dont need a loop for this to fit at all I have talked to Kooks about changing their wordage on this. I myself would like a MADMAN torque arm but that aint gonna happen with this exhaust system oh well Im stuck with the Spohn its just as good I suppose. Hell Im pissed VA speed wants 25 grand for the engine I want built but you know what you get what you pay for.

You can run prc heads or afrs. You can run Oe wheels or hres. You can run a McLeod rxt or an rps triple carbon. They will all get the job done but it's just personal preference. You can run a corsa exhaust or the kooks true duals. Sure it's just metal that's been welded but it fits good, sounds good, and looks good. If you can't afford it don't complain about it. Go build some mild steel duals under the axle and brag about them all day.

i want to know if this kit will work with guys like me who have the cme.. are there any true duel kits for cme guys??
only system i ever saw texas speed had i believe is where i saw it. and i cant find it to save my life. i think it was under axle but not sure. i'd like to keep it over the axle.
if i could have this and keep my cme i might just fork up some coin.

I have true duals with CME over the axle, but it was a custom job done by Speed Inc. If you want it to fit properly, you'll have to take your car to someone - this isn't something you can just do in your driveway with a couple of wrenches. Unless you have a welder in your driveway. If that's the case, fab it up and be done with it.

It should be stated that if you want to run that exhaust you'll spend the extra cash and buy the driveshaft safety loop and the panhard relocation bracket.

I have a question too. If you were going to buy the Kooks true dual system with catalytic converters, do you think it would be best to buy the long tube headers that the the AIR pump fitting and use it? Even with high flow cats, I'm assuming the AIR pump would help the cats run more efficient and increase their life?
