SLP Cat Back, VS. BORLA Cat Back!
"SLP" Cat Back- SLP has Loudmouth, Loudmouth II, and the new Power Flo. Claims best-performing exhaust systems in the business. Loudmouth setups offer reduced price compared to Borla, but is quality also reduced? PowerFlo mufflers offer minimal flow restriction and a deep, rich performance sound, full 6dB quieter at idle and 9dB quieter at 2000 rpm then the SLP Loudmouth II cat-back.
"BORLA" Cat Back- Unmatched sound & performance, the name says it all. Well known name, but is its sound an performance really unmatched? Pricing is a little more and seems to have less selection IMO.
WHATS YOUR OPINION? IF YOU WERE LOOKING FOR THAT DEEP HARDCORE MUSCLE CAR TONE TO RIP THROUGH GEARS AND "HEAR" IT AND STILL HAVE A GREAT "STREET" PERFORMANCE SYSTEM!

I have the best of both worlds. LM2 catback with the LM2 muffler replaced with a Borla XR1 muffler. Still cheaper than a Borla catback. Plus, borla's tips aren't the greatest. You have more tip options with LM systems. It's also a modular design where you can swap out the LM muffler for a bullet muffler (like I did with the XR1)
If you don't have longtubes and don't plan on getting them, then LM1 sounds amazing with stock manifolds and cats. Both systems get raspy with LT's and no cats.

LM2, much less rasp than the LM1 and has a much deeper tone to it while still being incredibly loud. Boral is overpriced imo, especially if you just run it with the open restrictor plate.

The rasp
Crazy28 what magna flow set up are you talking about?
And matt... Whats this "rasp" everyone talks about cuz i dont drive a honda i dont want a weed eater under my car. I want the roar. I dont want crackleing like the funny cars at the track i want more of a low pitch roar and rumble.
So far it looks like ill be goin with the lm2.anybod know if it passes state inspection emissions as it comes from slp ie:Loud Mouth II bullet-type race muffler for minimal restriction, because the resonator is sold separately. i wanna be able to slap it on and drive it through town or is that were the resonator and the muffler come in but isint that the same sht lol idk if you do tell me

I think it is almost impossible to have a LS1 sound like a 4 cyl weed whacker. Rasp is just that dirty/distorted/static kind of aspect to it. I personally like to have a some what raspy exhaust (to a certain point).

CORSA IS EXPENSIVE AND I DONT THINK I NEED TO SPEND THAT MUCH MONEY WHEN IM SURE A CHEAPER SYSTEM WILL WORK FOR MY TASTE.
ANY BODY GOT ANY SOUND CLIPS OF THERE EXHUAST IF SO SEND IT TO ME IN MY EMAIL AND TITLE IT "EXHUAST AND THE SET UP YOU HAVE" dckennedy8890@yahoo.com.THIS MIGHT EXTEND MY THREAD AND ALSO GIVE ME A MORE SOLID IDEA OF THE SYSTEM I AM LOOKING FOR
