The Kooks sound so much better through the Corsa, the magnaflow doesn't even sound like it has a cam at all. It sounds stockish. Is it just me, or are the magnaflows overrated in sound. If this is what it sounds like with a cam and headers then I would never recommend that unless you have no choice.

Jthunder- I agree, completely over rated, too quite, and dont give it a muscle car sound...

Cutout open on a magnaflow sounds pretty nasty tho. Atleast on a LT1

I am completely happy with my Corsa Pro Series, can't disagree with anyone that it is pricy though.

Lingenfelter uses it - good enough for me !!!

Detoxx, I must say, your System sounds scary nasty. 11 second car and no cats and a cutout, dang right it should sound that way too. Nice set-up.

USAFWS6 - I liked your set-up also.

My ARH are on their way, thinking real hard about the cutout... Can't wait

Well, the clip is pretty low key and doesn't give you the full effect. I liked it for about a week with the new cam, then took my wife for a ride and realized how loud it was! After a month I couldn't stand it anymore...having to let up everytime I saw a cop...
But I'm 57 so my tastes have mellowed. My son took the car out a few weeks ago and I swear I could hear him in traffic a mile away!
The Magnaflow suits me just fine. I can still hear the cam lope. Both are stainless steel & will last a lifetime.

Good question 99bluz. That's a subject of another thread you & I were on.

I did a lot of reading over in the Second skin forums http://www.secondskinaudio.com/forums/
The first thing they advise about trying to quiet down inside drone is to get a quieter muffler!!

SO I did that. The Magnaflow has a deep, rich sound, still louder than anyone else out there incl. 90% of the mustangs I pass, but quieter then my old Corsa.

To answer your question, yes I still want to quiet down drone & road noise, make it sound & feel more like a Jag or Porsche than Detroit sheet metal when I slam the door ;-)

It's my next mod. But not until my little lady, who balances the books, gives me the money :-) (est, cost $450)

I had kooks LTs with catted y pipe, DMH cutout and then GMMG catback. Was an insanely good sounding setup.

lol jk thanks for all the input everyone . Wish I could have a car for each exhaust lol I really like how twitchtwice's car sounds so I might get my ARH'a with carted y and get a cut out and see of I can figure out why it sounds like muffler slams into my firewall (best way to describe sound) everytime I hit a decent bump in the road. Anyone got any input on what this could be?

Keep in mind that Detoxx's car and Torchd 02 TA's car both have cams in them.The sound will be very different for you OP without the cam.
Both car's sound amazing. Nice job fellas and thanks for sharing with all of us.

Asides from the power increase with an aftermarket cam, it makes our cars sound sooooooo much better. I can't wait to get a cam eventually to wake the car up a little bit.

I love my set up that I have now. And the powerstick made all the difference in the world. I would say that it killed about 98% of my rasp.. And remember I have a custom 3" Kooks O/R Y

I also ran TDs (O/R X and O/R H) loved the sound too, but clearance was an issue..

That's why I went back to my almighty GMMG.. Love the sound and get compliments everywhere I go

i think right now im gonna pick up just a set of LT's and cutout and then down the road once my cars not my Daily driver ill throw a cam in there and ill pick up a GMMG

You could also use a discontinued Banks muffler.
